The Miami Herald is confirming:
thats too bad
Oh frabjous day! calloo callay He shouted in his joy!Translation:Oh Snap!
Time for bed, little boy.
PLEASE let this be the last time we EVER have to hear about this stupid idiot.
Somehow...I don't feel sorry for him at all.
Writing was on the wall..anyone surprised by this???
According to ESPN.com, not only was it a fourth violation but it was with something other than marijuana.
What an idiot.
Not this time buddy! I told my teacher what you did to me!You have no right!Perv!
Anybody think he planned this? His heart wasn't in football and the only reason he came back was because he would have had to pay $8 mil. I would be interested to see what his contract says and see if this gets him out of repaying the signing bonus and this gets him out of football.
If he still gets paid it's a great move. Get his money back and he can smoke all the pot he likes.
Nick Saban seems to be supporting Williams and believes that the test was a "false positive", according to Chris Mortensen in ESPN just now. I got nothing against Ricky, but this is bad for the Fish, which is good.
What about that ill - concieved child though?
Doesn't she want alimony?
Ricky Williams theme song "Stoned is the way of the walk" - Cypress Hill
And hes supposed to be smart huh?.....In a related story....The AP is reporting Nick Saban is in California meeting with OJ to find his wifes real killer.
Ricky Williams suspended....
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...(pause for breath of air)...hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...(pause to say, "Saban is a loser.").... hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
hahahahahahahah...:singing: :singing: :singing: :singing:
Actually the real loser is Rick Speilman who traded 2 first round picks to the Saints for Little Ricky. No wonder he's working for ESPN now.
If that is the case.....
he should be banned for life....what a moron.....what will saban do with him now....fish lose big on this one......
There seems to be something Tony Dungyesque in Saban. People keep comparing him to BB, but BB would never stand behind a serial moron like this.
Agreed, all this comparison to BB is a little premature. So looks like the RB position is all Brown's now. Lets see how he does without any help.
The bad news is now the fins will be looking to draft an RB too!
It is too bad what a waste of talent this guy has become. Ricky was one of my favorite players when he came out of the draft. Everything I heard about him then made him seem like a genuinely good person and it is unfortunate he has made this bad decisions. He could have been a special RB in the NFL, I considered him the best back for a season or 2. Now he will be lucky to play again.
I heard from somewhere that he has severe social anxiety, and wouldn't even take off his helmet during games for a while. I don't know if it is true, but it is clear the guy has off the field issues that don't put football too high on his list.
Yes, it is true, he wouldn't take his helmet off when he was on the Saints his rookie year.
No he shouldn't. This suspension says more about the NFL than it does about Ricky Williams. The NFL is still trapped in a pre- 21st century mindset about marijuana and civil rights. What a NFL player decides to do off the field that doesn't interfere with his or any other player's performance isn't any of the league's damn business. Either they're misinformed about the consequences of marijuana use or else they just enjoy being health nazi's. Yes, I know his latest drug policy violation has nothing to do with marijuana, but Williams wouldn't be in the position he's in today if it weren't for his previous three failed piss tests.
As a private organization the NFL has the right to hold whatever expectations and rules they like, especially when it involves the punishment/banning of someone involved in illegal behavior. As an employee of that organization, Williams has the chose to either comply with the standards set forth...or get out.
Why dont you keep your social commentary to the political forum...cheech...or I will be forced to go all political on you.....and seeing how you get all your info from Woody Harrelson...you dont want that......so back away from the puter light a doobie..kill a baby..hug a tree..hug all the multicultural people you can find...rant that oj was framed kobes a saint and George Bush eats puppies....then complain about how people can still smoke in their basements...while puffing on a marijuana cig that is four times more cancerous than any marlboro...ok...and none of it makes any difference cause we've got the bomb...oh and heres a shocker....most terrorists are muslims...gay people are icky too...did I offend you ?...cause I was offended by your crap...I have two kids and dont want a future with legalized drugs...if you were smart you wouldnt either
You are correct, the NFL is a private organization, and has the right to make the rules and guidelines it wants. Unfortunately the government allows private entities to discriminate against its employees based on false pretenses perpetuated by politicians and tobacco executives of the 1930's. However, across the country these outdated laws are, slowly but surely, being thrown out in favour of more a modern approach to marijuana use. Yes, the NFL wins the argument in legal terms (they can drug test all they want for now), but logically what they are doing (kicking out talented players because of their marijuana use) is wrong.
