However as Steve Kerr and Bill Wennington go on to say in the article, the circumstances were not your garden variety practice squabble...The difference is that I don't think Tom Brady punches his teammates at practice if they do get the best of him.
Really? I didn't know that, at least on a widespread level, anyway. That's interesting, but not surprising. Bird was another who played with a definite chip on his shoulder, and for good reason.
Great article. Thanks.I agree. However as Steve Kerr and Bill Wennington go on to say in the article, the circumstances were not your garden variety practice squabble...

I was actually referring to an incident during Jordan's time with the Wiz, but wow. I had no idea he got into it with Kerr.I agree. However as Steve Kerr and Bill Wennington go on to say in the article, the circumstances were not your garden variety practice squabble...

Brady is competitive at everything he does. Read a story the other day how he once destroyed a bunch of younger players in a beer chugging contest. That said, I think Brady's trashtalk is a lot more good natured, especially outside of the sport.I was actually referring to an incident during Jordan's time with the Wiz, but wow. I had no idea he got into it with Kerr.
TB is ultra competitive in football, but I think he leaves it in football. He's not the adrenaline, competition junky Jordan was/probably still is.

Agreed. There is a fine line. Brady's trash talk is of the annoying/getting under your skin variety. Bird was of the same variety.
Good article about one of the greatest trash talkers ever: Bill Russell.

I've never seen Bill play but I'm a big hoops fan and like to consider myself knowledgeable of the game's history.Great story, thanks.
I feel blessed to have seen Bill Russell (and everyone else) play a half century ago. For a dollar I could get a ticket and sit almost anywhere at the old Garden. 13,909

BB and BR seem to be members of the mutual admiration society..Thanks for the Bill Russell article, a great read. I swear that indirectly BB uses many of the the same psychological tricks against opponents.
Brazilian supermodels/wifes who make $75m a year tend to make a man lose a little bit of his competitive edge.I think Brady gave up the workout parking spot though. And I haven't heard about him winning the longest golf drive in a while. His competitiveness may be waning.
Yes.Is it weird that while reading that and admiring the respect from Revis i got tingles in my pants?
Double, triple dare ya to say that to his face.Brazilian supermodels/wifes who make $75m a year tend to make a man lose a little bit of his competitive edge.
