Not trying to pile on now but…

Being a fan of this team since the mid 80s, I’m not sure I’ve seen a worse Pats team. The D is the only saving grace at this point.

Fellow old timers, please help me remember…was the **** Macpherson/Rod Rust era of the late 80s/early 90s this bad?

For me it’s a toss up between this season’s team and the pre Kraft era.

I'm thinking the Clive Rush/Joe Kapp year was the worst. Former SB level QB, highest paid player in the league - total disaster.

The 2000 team was the worst team I’ve seen since I started watching as a teenager in the mid 90’s.

The 90 team was the worst. But 1992 with Hugh Millen was pretty bad too. But we got Bledsoe as a result of the 92 season. So have to go with the 1-15 90' team as the worst.

Early 90s teams were the worst post 1976 when I started watching. Scott Secules, Hugh Millen, the QBs were horrendous.

The 1982 team was not nearly as bad as its record. The poor record was an anomaly. They lost games by very few points over the year.

I see this year's team as = 2020. And for similar reasons. Abysmal QB. But the defense keeps them in games even if they can't win them.

Well "the D" is a pretty big part

They have a black hole at QB. That's the issue

If we didn’t have a good D, we very well might be winless now. We would’ve lost to the Jets and I think we can all agree now that the Bills victory was an anomaly.

For sure. Bills game, which I hope doesn't hurt our draft position too much, was a fluke, and the Jets had a Hail Mary bouncing around the end zone

Hello? **** McPherson? Joe Capp? John Hannah? I don't care if you're a hundred freaking years old, the Old Towne Team needs ya!
**** MacPherson might've had a better offense than Bills current team

What's up with posters who joined a long time ago and never post are suddenly reappearing?

It is **** MacPherson. Not McPherson.

And to infer that Belichick and MacPherson are in the same league is an insult to Bill. Yes, Belichick has lost his fastball, but he is still the greatest coach of all time.

Its also Joe Kapp.

Andy Capp ... Joe Kapp ... close I guess. :haha:

Hugh Millen made Scott Zolak look like a player... He had absolutely no pocket awareness, and like Mac he threw a lot of poorly timed ints... I will say though, he threw a better pass than Mac,,, it had some zip on it...

but overall that 92 team was like that deuce you dropped that makes you immediately reach for the Febreze
