PatsFans.com Roll Call

I hate to complain but can't you Brits show SOME semblance of originality and stop naming your towns after places around here?

I know. It embarrases me to hear that my hometown is named after a place in NH and that we tried to usurp you by naming a town "York" rather than "New York", as if our version were the older. We even named an entire country "England", using the same trick.

Originally from RI.

Lived in DC for 5 years, then came back here 10 years ago.

Season ticket holder starting this year.

Moving to Hong Kong in one month for 2 to 3 years. Dad is taking over the tix.

Viva la Slingbox!

I will start with my Dad since he reads but doesnt post on here:

"Big Steve" Raised on the South Shore, has been a Patriots fan through it all. Was at the snow plow game with my uncle.... said they were able to get GREAT SEATS because there was hardly anyone there! Lives in Southern New Jersery now surrounded by Eagles fans, but proudly raises the Patriots flag every Sunday in our front yard.

Jake / Kptmorgan
Born on the South Shore and grew up watching the Pats with my dad over Marias meatball subs. (werid how you remember certain things about life).
Also remember going to Fan Appreciation Day at foxboro and me being about the size of then rookie Bruce Armstrongs leg (at least it seemed that way).
Moved with the family from MA when I was 6 to CA then to South Jersey when I was 10. My dad and I would try to treck up to foxboro for a game a year and if not try to catch the Pats in the meadowlands.
Graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, in 2004 on Long Island, NY so had to deal with jets, giants and yankees fans for 4 years.
Lived in Boston for the past two years (as much to be close to the sports as for a job...and yes that was a reason for moving there) before just moving back home to NJ and working on a research boat down in the Gulf of Mexico on a 28 day work 28 day off schedule. I battle every sunday out here for the remote to the TV since we luckily have NFL Sunday Ticket!

Michigan Dave:

Grew up in Eastpointe, MI (Suburb just NE of Detroit). Lived in the 'pointe until 1998, when I went off to college at UM in Ann Arbor. I've been living in Ann Arbor ever since.

I've been a Pats fan since around 92-93 ish. I was 12/13 then, and really started to get interested in following football on a weekly basis. The Lions are a joke, and I hate domes. The Patriots played outside, were a team that not a lot of people in SE Michigan liked at the time, and my parents brought me back a Pats football from Boston. So, I was hooked. My fandom escalated when Chris Floyd became a Pat, and later when my friend Tommy Brady was taken in the 6th round, and made the team as a 4th string QB.

I've only seen the Pats twice- once at the Pontiac Silverdome in Tommy's first preseason game (of course, he led them to a winning drive), and at Pittsburgh, when I went to the 2005 AFC Championship Game, and was brought onto the field for the celebration. I'll be seeing game #3 on Sunday, when the Bears visit the Pats- also my first visit to the Razor for a game. Not only am I a die-hard, I even managed a trip to Gillette and the ProShop while out East on my honeymoon in 2003. 2 days before the Miami snow game.

I follow the Pats with Sunday Ticket- I never miss a game. Some of my best memories growing up are watching games on TV.

Mostly lurk here and don't post much but figured I'd chime in on the roll call.

From Western Mass originally, now living in Southern NH and possibly heading to the deep south soon with my employer.

I have been on the waiting list for tickets since, well I've lost track but I believe it was 98 or 99 when I signed up. I've been lucky enough to obtain tickets through my wife's employer since 2001 so I won't complain too much.

The thought of not making it to the games if I relocate bums me out in a big way. But thank god for Sunday ticket if it happens.

I wanted to introduce myself.

I also grew up in Western Mass - Westfield, MA
and currently live in Central Mass - Dudley, MA

On the waiting list (yes I joined when they were heading to Hartford)

I have followed the Pats religiously since the late '70s. My first game at Schaffer Stadium was the against the Dolphins and David Woodly had taken over for Bob Griese and we sat in the 5th row behind the Miami bench. I can remember the Pats drilling the Fins that day. I think I have been to at least one game a year since.

Long time lurker, who posts once in a great while. Been a fan since '76, and haven't looked back since.

Hey! I'm from Toronto
I am not a season ticket holder
I've been a fan since this year..my friend Dave introduced me to them:D

I am an Army brat, born in Finland, lived in the Middle East. Family settled in Nashua, NH.

Been a Pats fan since the days of Grogan. Before that was a Cowboys fan  Though my first real passionate sports love was Bobby Orr and the Bruins. Haven't watched them since Terry O'Reilly left.

Never been to an NFL game, or any professional sports event. TV is so much better, so why bother. Been to both Shafer and Gillette for Rolling Stones concerts. :D

Born in Dorchester, reside now on the south shore.
Season ticket holder
Have lurked here for years.
Actively post on the cesspool known as The Planet

Another lurker, who posts once in a while. Been a fan since 72, a season ticket holder once Parcells was brought in as coach.

Grew up in Western Pennsylvania. Shot and beer Mill town area with Friday night lights the big event. Big fan of the Steelers when they won 4 SBs, moved to Foxboro in 1980 and have been very lucky to see 3 more SB winners. Called a traitor by my Penna relatives and friends. :)

Football official, Baseball Umpire, Basketball player/coach...still try to stay involved in sports every chance I get. Dating myself, but played against an eventual good friend and rival by the name of Doug Buffone (Chicago Bear). We are both in a Western Penna HOF along with another guy by the name of Jim Kelly.

Bottom line...Once the competitive nature and friendships developed of playing sports gets in your blood, it stays for awhile. :)

Live on the South Shore - 30 minutes from Gillette
Waiting list member since 1999-2000, but have only missed attending 1 home game since 2002
Fan since 1976, Francis, Hannah, Sam Bam, Grogan, Fox, Sugar Bear, Vataha, Nelson, the Stinger, Gray, Mike Haynes, etc..what a year!

Is that a loving, tongue-in-cheek reference of "The Daily Planet" as the cesspool, or do you mean it? I suspect the former. I found that board to be a fun alternative to this board because of all the outages here, one good thing, for me, that came of them.

Edit: oops, as soon as I post that, a new poster over there brings in some porn, which I won't link to, but her/his thread title is Unvelievable Movie

Patsfan since my first game in 1970
Not a season ticket holder. Always go to at least one game per year.

I was at that game...me and several others had to pull the goal post off a guy that got pinned by it when it came down (Ok torn down). Being on the field didn't seem as cool after that, kind of killed my buzz....and that guys I'm sure.
Me Three at that game! Bought tickets that day. If you remember, they only sold low-alcohol beer for a time. That day they switched to selling real beer. I remember thinking, "Can I be getting a buzz off of LA Beer?"

I've only signed up recently to Patsfans. Long time Lurker.
Live in Boston.
Lucky enough to have been to last two winning SBs.
In New Orleans in 96, but watched the game at O'Briens.(Turned out to be a good decision.)
Outside of the SBs, going to Miami for Squish the Fish in 85 is my favorite Pats experience.

I'm from beautiful Cape Cod. I'm not a season ticket holder, but I've been a Patriots fans since the sixties. I'm was a long time high school football and baseball coach and did some coaching at the college level.

From: Malaysia, then to NY, then to Florida, now residing in Auburn, Alabama
Not a season ticket holder.
Started in early 2002. Back then I couldn't care less about the NFL, or football for that matter, but then later caught news of a team named Patriots making to the SB after 9/11, and got hooked. And the rest is history.

Born in Dorchestor, lived in Duxbury, now in Florida.

I go back to the days of Parilli, Colclough, Eisehhower, Antoine and Bob Dee.

My first game as a season ticket holder was Jim Plunkett's first game as a PAT. Been there ever since. Lot's of pain in the early days.

Still have my tickets, and get up for about half of the regular season games and all of the playoffs.

Visit here occassionally and post regulalrly on KFFL. May be here more often, as the KFFL board seems to be less and less active.
