Debut for DE Anderson. After signing on Friday morning, defensive end Mark Anderson made his practice debut in the afternoon. Anderson is known more for his pass-rushing potential, and looked over-matched in the running game. If Anderson is to carve out a role with the Patriots to make the 53-man roster, it will likely come only as a third-down rusher.
This is the Derrick Burgess move all over again, trying to get a guy who can play only in sub packages and rush the passer.
Hopefully this one will work out better.
By working out better I mean results.It already has, because unlike w/ Burgess, Bill didn't foolishly throw away 3rd- and 5th-round
picks on an old, under-motivated member of the Dysfunctional Family of 2009.
Probably the better question is, who do we have that is better.
