FB, RB, TE, SS, OLD, whatever. Let him try them all and maybe he'll click at one.I'm not certain I want him for QB, but he's obviously a "player", a guy that gets it, wants to win, gives a sht etc.........
There must be some place for a guy with a heart like that, but at what spot do ya take a shot at a guy like that?
You're probably right.Although I don't think we should use any of our first 4 picks on Tebow, if we do,he'll be a better asset to the team than what Brace will ever be for us.
I wouldn't be too sure of that. Just two years ago, the Pats used a 3rd on O'Connell.Heh
Relax, Bro. Pats are not gonna spend a 1 or 2 round pick on Tebow
Here's the thing and what I've been trying to convey for the last few years. If Brady still wants to win, I don't think he will appreciate the Pats using another high draft pick on a QB when it could go towards a current need. In fact, they are hurting at several positions and using a high draft pick on a raw-project like Tebow would be a huge risk. It's not like Brady is on his way out like Brett Favre. However, lets say the Pats are dumb enough to take Tebow with one of their first 4 picks and nobody from their '09-'10 (I use these two years because we pretty much know what we have from our '06-'08 class) emerge as a starter and make some sort of an impact. Brady may be a free agent, and if he feels this team is maxed out, he will leave (or want to leave).Tebow will be a great NFL quarterback and he fills a need. If Tom's knee, shoulder, foot, finger, injuries reappear as he gets older we will have a quality replacement. Obviously we disagree on Tebow's ability to play QB, but Belichick has the final say and I think he knows more than I do on the subject.
Like Condon84 said, this board will explode with traffic if it happens. It might go down as the Pats most controversial pick of all time.I'm starting to really hope the Patriots draft Tebow in round 2. The weeping and gnashing of teeth of some, coupled with the immediate flip-flops of others, would make for days of pure hilarity.

Tim Tebow-QB- Player Mar. 19 - 2:11 pm et
Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post is "hearing" that Florida QB Tim Tebow won't last past the second round of the draft.
Round two seems right, and we're betting Tebow is the third quarterback drafted behind Sam Bradford and Jimmy Clausen. It's worth noting that the Patriots have been connected to Tebow and have three second-round picks.

If we use a 2 for Tebow I will be livid.:violent:
I do see him being a 2nd round selection by some team.

Huh? Bishop only played to throw Hail Marys. He never came in on 3rd downs, much less had succes in any way.A Brady replacement? Tebow is a gimmick, and could replace guys like McNabb, Vick, etc, but Brady? Bad idea. I think backups are better when they can step in and play should the QB go down. That means being able to use the same basic plays and playbook the starting QB does. So backups for Brady include a lot of guys but not Tebow. Or Pat White.
I understand the success Michael Bishop had here playing on third down for Bledsoe, and it is possible that Tebow could enjoy the same success as Bishop, but if the team wants a replacemetn for Brady, I think the team is better off looking for a replacement for Brady, not a complimentary piece. Tebow would be great as a gimmick QB, and if he could play TE one tenth as well as Edelman and Randal El played WR, he'll be fine
Do owners get a piece of jersey sales profits?
Wouldn't surprise me if Kraft drafted him just to rake in the profits from all the Pats Tebow jerseys
