It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I estimate based upon my perception of the value, just as Belichick does. I may have a different 'value rating', but it's the same thinking. It's why I wasn't burning candles for Julius Peppers to be obtained.
What do you estimate the probability of getting a starter with a 3rd + 5th pick is? How about a starter that will ever be the best pass rusher on the team?
Does anybody really have a big problem with an ILB roster of Mayo, Guyton, Bruschi, Lenon (and should have been McKenzie)? Or with an OLB depth chart of Thomas, X, Woods, Crable, Banta-Cain? That's not a vast, systematic neglect of the LB corps. It's being one man short.
That makes more sense, Lombardi's post was ambiguous. We have three #2s, it's no biggee to me. I WANT THOSE SACKS AND PRESSURES.
I suspect you and BB do indeed have slightly different value functions lol. He probably weights winning this year more highly than you do
I doubt that.
Why? I thought OLB was the last hole in our lineup? If they gave up a 3rd and a 4th, that would be horrible.

If he is the last piece to the puzzle and we fixed the last issue, that ought to be worth quite a bit.
Pats gave their 3rd and 5th in 2011
:yeahthat:
Quoting myself from a couple of days ago:
So they just filled in the X, leaving either Burgess or Woods as a very solid #3. Happy happy.
He's relatively young as well. 30. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good.
Not sure many people parse when they tweet...which while admittedly ambiguous parses better as both picks being in 2011.

Think that's wishful thinking. Lombardi has said so far:

Now keep the team healthy.... *crosses fingers*
