That was classic!!! (although i do think Beningo's was a little better when he went off on the jets).
While listening to it and reading some the thoughts of those on hear about why Boston sports talk show hosts don't do this the biggest and best reason i can come up with is that the boston stations seem to be trying harder to create "relationships" with the teams rather than just speaking with passion.
You'll never hear a rant like that from a boston host because...well a) their good enough to do it!!! but b)...they know their bosses will be down the hall in a mila-second to tell them we can't do that cause it's about the almighty dollar and they don't want to lose any relationships with teams. boston stations are trying to make relationships more than good radio.
