I don't care honestly but..........Cowboy fans are there and we're not? lmao.

This is worst than when the Patriots didn't make the Top 10 'Most Comfortable Stadium Seats in the NFL'. :p

Having lived in Texas for what will be going on six years now, I can say that including the Cowboys is a joke. They have no fans, just bandwagon jumpers. Try finding someone wearing Cowboys gear after a loss down here - you won't be able to do it. Outside of Seattle Mariners fans, they are the most fickle fanbase I've ever been around. From the day I arrived, you didn't hear jack about the Cowboys, until last year, when it was all Romo and T.O., all the time. There were more local reports on Jessica Simpson and Romo than actual football talk. Texans fans are 10 times the fans Cowboys fans are - they are a dedicated bunch.

The whole idea of ranking fanbases is stupid anyway. It's basically a measure of who has had success in the past to develop a future fanbase, or what city has one sport and no others, and thus develops a loyal following. You won't see a more passionate group than Spurs fans in San Antonio, but they don't have any other teams, so it's to be expected. Every team has its diehards, and they're all roughly the same, proportionate in size to the market they live in. Everyone else is a casual fan or a bandwagon jumper. The Pats have some of the biggest diehards I've ever met - this board is a solid testament to that. We also have a ton of bandwagoners, because the team is very, very good. It's to be expected.

We are a bunch of bandwagon fans, don't you know?

Hey I don't give a **** about the list but all I can say is that I'm proud not to be an Eagles fan. From what I hear a lot of their fans are ass holes.

not not alot of them, all of them.

Even though you are beging sarcastic, I find this to be absolutely true. Anyone who was REALLY around in the early 90's would agree with me, im sure.

what if you werent born, or were just a kid?

it should have been nice to have seen the full NFL top 32 Fan base

It was worse then. That's when that Red Sox cheer happened. I think it's improved a bit since then.

It's definitely better now, but when fans all around me at Gillette still cheer while our OWN OFFENSE is on the field, they do not deserve even an honorable mention. Watch any other home team in the league and you can hear crickets while their own offense is on the field, and then it's total mayhem when the D is out there. To be in the top half even, I'd think basic mastery of knowing when to cheer is required.

Maybe this is a by product of a 60,000 seat waiting list. Once you get outside of the actual game attendees, the Pats fans are pretty impressive. In fact, if we're judging by electronic participation, then we're easily top 10, maybe top overall. If a negative comment about the Pats were to be dropped in passing on an obscure European message board relating to a C-Span debate on international finance policy, you can bet it will show up here and a legion of Pats defenders would deluge those poor bankers within hours.

I thought their fans were good when I went to the Dallas-Pats game last year. Knew when to cheer, were loud, etc.

I have no problem with the Patriots not being in the top 10. The tradition isn't there with the fanbase and the Patriots couldn't give away tickets 20 years ago.

I do have problems with teams on the list. The Raiders may have a small group of rabid fanatics.... or lunatics, but they never sell out games. Same with Buffalo eventhough their average ticket price is almost half of what we pay to go to Gillette.
Agree completely. The list went completely bogus when I saw Oakland, and in third place! Give me a break. Might as well have put the 49ers in there. Don't have time to look now, but is the criteria for selection mentioned anywhere?

For their unwavering support in the face of hopelessness over the years, I'd rate the top foulweather fans: 1. Browns. 2. Chiefs 3. Bills

Here we go again. The bizarre hate caused by jealously about the Red Sox is shown again. You people need to realize that no matter what the Patriots do, the Red Sox will always be number 1 for 90% of New Englanders and this is coming from a season ticket holder. Why can't some of you just be happy with all the teams in New England. It's so frusterating coming on here and hearing how much some of you are jealous of the Red Sox. The Patriots don't have a top 10 fan base because you can hardly even hear them during the games. Last couple of years it has been so quiet.
