Yeah, your average NFL fan isn't diving into pressure variables. That's what makes this witch hunt so egregious. They lead with cheaters! Backed with straigh lies (like D'quell) during the SB hype and then the retraction will be in the offseason printed on page 77. The fans are getting bombarded with completely slanted information, and you can't expect they are all going to look it up.
I still haven't heard a good reason why they for apparently the first time ever decided to measure the Patriots balls at halftime over any other team. And if I were Kraft, I would expect a damn good reason.
I'm sorry but there's no excuse for this. Anyone who's travelled knows Americans are, by and large, a dumb #%$#ing mob, and if that bothers anyone's naive sense of patriotism, that's too bad. In another time and place, these stupid idiots would be cheering like morons while lions ate people in a Roman gladiator arena.
This country is full of #&#$ing morons and it gets dumber and dumber every single year.
Nobody with a brain needed this story to start to `turn` to know it was a bogus narrative from the start.
I appreciate professional athletes, but let's not pretend they're all a bunch of geniuses, and a lot of ex-players that work at BSPN and other networks are a far cry from rocket scientists or master propagandists.
If you're not smart enough to see through a baseless narrative pushed by someone of average intelligence {at best}, then I'm sorry but you're a total moron. Are the likes of Jerome Bettis, Kurt Warner and Shannon Sharpe really so clever that they can so easily manipulate the minds of millions of people with utterly shallow ********?
Or are millions of people just that unbelievably stupid?
Not exactly a question for the philosophers. The answer is obvious.
The single most alarming -and depressing- part of this entire story, is how hard it drives home the fact that jungle tribes in South America, who haven't even advanced into an agricultural society yet, likely possess greater wisdom than your neighbors.
Any half wit can convince the people of our sorry society of anything they want, so long as they happen to do the convincing from in front of a television camera.
Just pathetic.
I'm so disgusted this week with all of this, and everything that it means, big and small, that I'm not even sure I'll be able to enjoy the Superbowl right now.
