Feel free to fly to Australia and come work on this strategic report with me. That should free up some of my time to thoroughly search Patsfans to appease you.
I didn't go on the tirade about people thinking Jones should be a starter, you did. If you're going to make a point strongly, you should be prepared to back it up. Otherwise you have about as much credibility as the Commissioner.
My personal opinion on Chris Jones:
1. He was a good pick up off the waiver wire, and filled in decently last year given his draft/waiver status and lack of preseason experience with the team.
2. Chris Jones >> Joe Vellano.
3. He was better as a situational 3-tech than as a full time starter, where he was overmatched. I certainly wouldn't want him to be a starter unless we were in duress.
4. Decent low-cost bottom of the roster guys are not to be despised, but they are certainly upgradeable. We should value Jones right up to the time where we find a better alternative.
Feel free to flame against that if you disagree with it. At least you shouldn't have to look to hard to find it.
