Just when you thought Brandon Spikes was getting smarter

Honestly, I don't care. He is loved by his teammates and the fans. Looking for him to have a monster game(s) in the playoffs.

How is he "self rightious" by pointing out that the FO will most certainly have concerns about this? It sounds like you have an agenda. And a hypocritical one at that.

Reread my post. This time up your reading comprehension to a level above epic fail, Paulie D. I said nothing of the sort. In fact, I made an argument hinting to the contrary. I mean, it wasn't even subtle. How do you miss that? whoosh
And don't use a 5 syllable adjective unless it fits.

I think you do care about it rather than your saying you couldn't care less. After all, you did type a decent length post on it just now. And I think you are indeed one of those self righteous fans more than you're not. Maybe not one who takes it to an irritating extreme, but one who's using the "I worry what the front office thinks" to cloak your own puritanical values.
I mean, after all, how many Patriots fans really concern themselves with the front office's supposed good reputation or whatever? Especially concerning how one player's behavior might "soil" the entire organization's reputation.
Oh please.
And anyway, I don't have to remind you what "The Patriots Way" means to people across the country since the 1st game of the 2007 season. Man, talk about a reputation that's in need of some public image damage control.
Compared to that, whatever Brandon Spikes does is miniscule by comparison.
Know what I think I'm really seeing in the above post? I sense someone hiding behind the shield of The Patriots "Community Charity Division Office" & pointing a critical self righteous finger at a player.
And the way you describe his infractions make me sense that.

1. Drug use in college? All I've heard of is his smoking pot. That hardly qualifies as drug use. It's college, for crissakes. You're SUPPOSED to smoke pot. lol.

2. Self made porno movie? Really? What, he hired a whole film crew with leaders in the shadow industry holing up at his house?
All he did was set up a camcorder or cell phone and recorded himself gettin' down with a honey.
Again, who hasn't done THAT?
His posting it on the internet is his err in judgement.
But he sure didn't make a dang porno movie as you paint it. gawd.

Your word choices are critical and they betray you while you hide behind ye ol' Patriots Front Office Shield with your criticisms. I'm way slick sociologically anyhow & can decipher personality type from way down the block & around the corner.

And I'm calling shenanigans. The board has been infiltrated by an amish person. hee hee hee

The bottom line is that he has made many off-field decisions that have not historically done well with this specific organization. That really shouldn't be argued.

As I said--it's one thing if he continues to progress on the field, it's another entirely if he plays like he did the first 2 seasons. He certainly wasn't coming into this year as "irreplaceable."

I don't personally have a problem with it, and I stated that several times now. I myself have made many poor decisions in life, and am grateful for a second and third chance. That includes drug use and even some minor jail time (30 days in the county jail). I am not one of those "self-righteous" fans that you have a problem with. I am simply saying what my concern is...and that is how the front office and the Krafts perceive it.

After all, they have had enough of the Gronkowski episodes and he has produced significantly way more than a player like Spikes, not to mention that Gronk's issues weren't 1/10th as serious as Spikes have been in terms of being a poor representation of character for this specific team.

looking forward to see him making a big play in the playoffs and doing the Spikes shuffle. Hopefully he'll be good to go. Great tweet.

:deadhorse:

It really isn't that big of a deal and what he said doesn't bother me at all, but he represents the Patriots and the Patriots brand, so he should probably think twice before he puts something like that out in public. Kraft is paying him millions and i'm sure he has been told to respect the brand and watch what is said to the media or put on the internet. Not the smartest thing for Spikes to post.

Are you sure you aren't an Amish person "hiding behind ye old Patriots front office criticisms?"

After all, I'm an excellent judge of character.
