he was hailed as a boy genius for signing Rodney Harrison, Tyrone Poole,
and Rosevelt Colvin.

I didnt know we signed Jesus. Now he's on the injury report?????
I thought that he was a baseball player and that he played for the Angels.
Sorry that I haven't learned to punch on a post to reply. I'm one of those
computer illiterates who used a slide rule during his college days.
I find it difficult to comprehend how the front office has done a good job
by replacing Branch, Givens, and Patten with Caldwell, Gabriel, and Gaffney,
by replacing Johnson, McGinest, and Phifer with Beisel, C. Brown, and
Seau, and by replacing Law and Poole with C. Scott and Starks.
With regard to the draft, the Pats have had their ups and downs.
Mankins is a good player. Hobbs and Kazur have had a sophomore slump.
Maybe they will rebound next year. Maroney looks very good. Chad Jackson
has been a disappointment. O'Callallaghan and Gostowski show some promise.
The trouble is that there is very little room for error since Miami and the Jets
are coming fast.
Hobbs and Kazcur are coming off injuries. It is hard to give them bad grades because Hobbs is playing with a cast and Kazcur missed all of training camp and a large chunk of the season.
Before Seau went down with his injury, he was more productive than McGinest has been.
Jackson is a rookie WR and to judge him at this point is premature. I didn't expect much from him this year. Gostkowski and O'Callahan have exceeded my expectations.
We lost Law mid-way through the 2004 season and won a Super Bowl with Samuel and Gay playing CBs. I don't know if Starks or Scott really replaced Law because Law was already gone.
In fairness to Pioli and Belichick, Beisel and Chad Brown were never supposed to replace Ted Johnson. Ted Johnson unexpectedly retired at the start of the season.
Pioli and Belichick haven't had great years the past two years, but they weren't disaster either.
