And we would be fine if we sign a wide receiver instead, and then subsituted an inside linebacker.

I would argue for placing priority on RB. We really need to take the pressure off Brady. These days other teams are just zeroing on Brady. Their D sets don't even respect our running game, and rightfully so.
I think we should draft another pass rushing OLB instead of a WR.The order always depends on comparative value. I suspect that we would all be reasonably fine if we used our first five picks for

I agree, this would be good.
Trade #22 for SD #28 and #92. (They'll accept if Best or Spiller is there, and its equal based on value chart).
#28 Jared Odrick (will play the 3-4 DE, a big need).
#44 Ricky Sapp (OLB)
#47 Damien Williams (WR)
#53 Dennis Pitta (TE)
#92 Ben Tate (RB)

Last year our problem was more on Offense, than D.. but do want to start that argument again...
I would go with the best RB @ 22... then go with the best available DE's and OLB's with the seconds..
Top-tier draft needs, IMO:
DE and OLB
TE
RB (bruiser)
Why not the others?
WR -- the biggest need is until Welker returns, and relying on a rookie for that is a wild gamble. And in Tate, Edelman, and even Stanbach we have some young ones being developed.
ILB -- We often don't need two on the field. That makes Mayo/Guyton look not-ridiculous. And McKenzie is our rookie.
RB (speedster) -- I still have hopes for Maroney, and for Faulk's longevity.
P -- a top-tier need, but not a top-tier pick.
I wish more people would realize what you are saying about WR.
