Agent: ESPN report on Faneca, Jets is untrue

Alan Faneca's agent denies that his client as signed with the Jets.

"False report. It's a false report," agent Rick Smith said. ESPN's website reported earlier the two sides agreed to a four-year, $32 million contract. His agent told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette a decision will come Friday night. It could still be with the Jets, but the Rams and 49ers are in the mix. Feb. 29 - 6:40 pm et

Damn, i knew i should have taken that with a grain of salt...:mad: Oh well serves me right for finding a story off of ESPN...My bad guys...

Don't the Jets have Mangold as their current center who was a first round pick right? Why would they need another high caliber player like that? Shift to guard maybe?
