He got cut for a reason. Maybe that reason was that his contract was too big, but that doesn't typically happen during the season since they're paying his full salary anyway.
He was cut because hes a malcontent, its the same reason the ravens made zero effort to resign him. hes not a good locker room guy, and just threw his new teams coaching staff under the bus.
i'd take a look at him, but hes not exactly a top 32 safety anymore.
I can't imagine he became done overnight. He was pretty solid last year.
FWIW he said their team was outcoached this weekend. They had no choice but to cut him.
I wouldn't mind BB giving him a shot. But I doubt he goes through waivers unclaimed. I have a feeling the Jets are going to get him.
He's on waivers since he was released after the trade deadline.I'm not sure he has to clear waivers, I am pretty sure there's a clause for veterans with a certain amount of years that makes them UFA automatically, but I am not sure if that applies to in season or just the offseason.
(Note: I actually like Harmon. I just don't like rookie safeties in general)
Would you guys rather Harmon start against Peyton Manning or a near cooked Ed Reed? I feel atleast Reed won't blow assignments and is familar with peyton's nonsense. He could help us in that game with Gregory out.
A team claiming Ed Reed would owe him $412k + $62.5k for each game he is active. Team would also owe Texans $824k for Reed's salary advance.
Something else to consider:
A team that claims Ed Reed would owe him $412k, plus $62.5k for each game that he is active; in addition that team would also owe Texans $824k for Reed's salary advance.
