He didn't look very good on his punt returns, but he made two key plays in the fourth quarter to help seal this win. The first was running down the KC receiver on the long pass and the second was defending on the 4th down play. A good start for him.

Not to mention the kick return.

In all fairness... that last 4th down play was a rotten throw by Huard. Even if there was no defender, that ball wasn't catchable.

I didn't notice Wheatley on the field???

Couldn't agree more. O'Neal had nothing to do with that incompletion.

I agree, but he was aggressive and in position to make a play if that ball had been on target.

That word nothing is very powerful.

Deltha had a nice bump at the line, played him very physical and didnt' allow him to get position, forcing the QB to attempt to put it in the perfect position, resulting in a seemingly uncatchable throw.

Love the O'Neal pick up. Now we need to get Lynch back. He is certainly no slower than #36. Anybody want to talk about James Sanders? I know, "DW why do you pick on our Mr. Sanders?" I am sorry, he absolutely rots!

Yeah, James Sanders can rot. The only times I saw him all day was times he was sucking the meat missle.

Disagree. Did you even see that play? O'Neal played the bump perfectly on his man and had blanket coverage. The QB had nowhere to go with that throw and so made a bad pass trying to do too much.

I have three observations to make.

Cassel played as Belichick and a few of us and virtually no other fans thought he could. He runs the Patriots Offense, not an ad-hoc running around and creating-something-thing, that a raw QB would do.

That is what BB saw, and why BB kept him, even if fans couldn't see it. It DOES make a difference if you are playing with your first teamers against their first stringers. Rather than your thirds against their firsts, as happened in the Pre-season to Cassel.

The second point I would make is that KC was picking on Rodney Harrison. He has lost more than a couple of steps. By the end of the season he will be sitting, I predict. KC turned the corner on several WR quick screens even though Rodney was there to make the play and didn't. They just ran away from him.

The young LBs looked good and Tedy still senses where to go even if he can't get there quickly anymore. Mayo looked good, for his first game. Four sacks reveals that the Pats have not lost their pass rush.

I thought he did great. He made a hell of a play running down the Chiefs receiver.

All I can really say about that play is **** you James Sanders.
