Congratulations coach Belichick on 300th win!!!

I think it's pretty clear that any coach having to win with an average QB will not have a great record. Bill is no different. The fact that Bill's coaching staff believed this just shows the level of their arrogance.

There are some exceptions. Joe Gibbs won 3 SB with Theismann, Doug Williams and Mark Rypien, none of which are HOFers. Gibbs had a .621% win record and .708% in the playoffs (3-1 in SB). Obviously it was a different era.

Bill's playoff record is 100% w/ Brady (GOAT HOFer) and 1-2 w/ two guys.

Another example of what an excellent OL can do for a team.

Wrong.

It's like saying Shula did nothing without Arnsparger.

Team sports are a collaboration between players and coaches, but their success usually depends on the leader, the man in charge making the decisions. Shula was an a**hole but he was a great coach. Parcells wanted to stay here but Kraft drove him away, and Bill wanted to keep coaching, so he went to the Jets. Belichick is one of many players and coaches who were integral to Parcells' success, who were there in the first place and did well because Parcells gave them the opportunity.

I despised Parcells for years because he coached the Giants. It's entirely irrational, subjective and lacks any substance, aside from Bill being egotistical but That's How People Are (And Have To Be) Living In New York City, and most players and coaches will tell you that Parcells' personality motivated and inspired them to do their best.

Patriots fans hate Bill today because of how he left. Even if Kraft hadn't thrown his tantrum and Parcells didn't leave, neither Bill nor Perkins was giving the ball to C-Mart and thus we weren't winning the Super Bowl. Coaches make mistakes - Parcells, Berry, Belichick - all of them.

The truth of the matter is that if a coach puts together a great coaching staff that leads to success they deserve the credit for putting that staff togethet. Same goes for making player choices that lead to
If either of you have some point to make besides how Bill got to 300 wins based on starting QB, have at it. Compare Shula, Halas, whomever.

Belichick did it under far more difficult circumstances. Shula and Landry were allowed to keep their teams together for as long as they chose, no free agency, no salary cap to deal with. Imo the best measure of just how great the Belichick/Brady Patriots is the number of different players who won championship rings with them. For the Patriots the numbers are off the charts, I doubt any other franchise is close.

What’s your point?

BB is never catching Shula when he needs 28 more wins.

Bills playoff record is .705 with 3 different playoff QBs. How's that much different?
Gibbs won titles with 3 QBs. Bill won titles with one.

The GOAT coach debate after Bill retires will be interesting. I say he is but there are also a few compelling arguments against the idea.

What’s there to debate? Bill lead a team quarterbacked by Mac jones to the playoffs.

Well your sig is one argument against Bill as GOAT coach...

Congratulations on win #300, Bill.

Now get the **** out.
This isn't a job for BB.. whenever you do something you love.. you never really work a day in you life.. he's here to break Shulas record. He knows this team or anything he does going forward isn't going to be a contender. I have no faith he can build a contender without the QUARTERBACK!!!!

A phony-baloney 7th seed after losing 3 of their last 4?

And to just think they were the 1 seed after the windstorm Buffalo game.. and faltered to the 7th seed...
