What reason would the players have for not voting on it tonite????

Ego. They still have "issues" perhaps even that their reps didn't anticipate or deal with over the last several weeks and they seem to have an attitude thing about perceiving themselves being rushed or pushed... I think they want it to be viewed as their time to dictate terms and not ownerships... What they don't seem to get is time is money and if they drag this out any longer they will start to lose money off a deal in which they already gave back money...

Yeah Rico NO HOF game...no time left....

The players better get their SH*T together fast......derailing this at the 12th hour could sink their whole season.....

still seems like players are not happy :mad::mad:

Seeing some different additional details on twitter. $3M cap exemption not mentioned. Rather teams can borrow up to $3M this year from a future year and in 2012 they can borrow $1.5M. Another tweet indicated teams would all get $3.5M in assistance to fund maintaining veteran contracts.

Teams have until September 20th to sign Franchise Tag players to long term deal.

Rosters remain at 53 in season. Up to 90 for TC.

Heard earlier today 10 OTA's and none until after May 1.

Also limits on full pads practices including in season (Lombardi said 14).

Email De sent to players in advance of conference call didn't sound promising (lingering issues).

Via Breer, Torrey Smith just tweeted: "Just got off the phone with @Foxworth24....IM HYPEDDDD!!!!!!"

FWIW. (not much, but since we're all just waiting and wondering)

the players I follow on Twitter seem very psyched and Tweeting things like "going back to work!" and "get ready for some football!"

I could care less if 49% hate it... as long as 51% like it we're good

For the most part 51% don't even know what a CBA is so we should be good.

They need to start texting their player reps who are on this conference call with De and make sure they know that...

Like Rich Eisen just said, after 132 days the tables have turned. We want to play. We are ready to open the season. Owners are ready and players are on the hook if we don't.

Individual teams will NOT have cash minimum for 2011-2012, the 89% start in 2013.
Leaguewide 'commitment' to spend 99% of cap in cash for 11-12.

It has to get past the Executive Committee and Plaintiffs before the 100% get to vote to recertify or ratify. That is the problem, because believe me the players would ratify in a heartbeat.

the players are lead by a fraud leader... how can they not know what is going on... its a joke....

jay glazer jus said on nfl network they will not vote today

USA Today reporting players have rejected the deal.

WTF did the players do in the last 5 weeks...????? wtf has been goin on....???? demauice smith is a joke... he is the reason why this deal is not done now....

Glazer says he's getting texts from players on the conference call telling him they ARE NOT voting tonight. There seems to be a lot of confusion on what they are being asked to vote on, and that falls on De. These guys had a deal done last week. Players who didn't know what that deal entailed are hung up on issues. It's up to De and the Executive Committee to either recommend for or against the deal THEY negotiated over the last several weeks. Otherwise, the strategy to involve the court will really backfire since it was the inability to discuss any of this with the player reps for mandated confidentially terms that left them out of the loop until this week.

again this proves that d smith is a fraud leader.. wth has been goin on the last month and half???? reallly.... ??? where is the leadership,??? you cant vote on a proposel that you knew was being voted on today... start thinkin football in oct folkes.. its goin down that road....
