As with every year which rookie to IR?

So lets get this one cleared up.

You are telling us without any info that Cunningham is going on IR, then you are suggesting that because he is going to IR which you have no proof is going to happen that we should have drafted another guy for the outside.

Yeah that makes sense:rolleyes:

I'll give this thread the 1 star it deserves.

Are you discounting that we usually put a HIGH expecation pick in IR. We have done this quite a few times.I do not believe to the whole red shirt year in NFL.this has happened a few times before and people where actually excited about it.lua, crable etc

also,we have wasted so many high picks [kevin o connel ] and before cunningham the last olb was drafted in the 5th[justin rogers]. the position has been a pure after thought. We gloat over how steelers develop linebackers and ignore the fact they are always drafting them .

Few years ago when the 3-4 was not the flavor how many smaller DE did we get to develop .none.

I am realistic in saying unless you draft a few players you are not going to find the 2-3 players you are looking for.

Same here. I say it quite often, but I've had a chance to watch them play in person and Dunlap is a beast. BB probably stayed away because of some of the off-field issues that seemed to follow the kid, specifically the incident here in Gainesville where he fell asleep at the wheel at a red light after driving home drunk from the club.

Yeah. His absense was extremely noticeable in the SEC Championship. Our defense couldn't get any pressure off of the right side of the D-Line. McElroy had no fear of any pressure coming off of his blindside and went on to pick the Gators apart in a fashion that no quarterback had picked them apart all year long.

I too think that BB stayed away from Dunlap because of the character issues. He couldn't have picked a worse time to get a DUI. :(

Well, this:

I really hope Cunningham turns out to be a decent OLB. I just don't have a good feeling about him at all.

Is stating you hope he will be decent but dont have a good feeling, which would seem to indicate you dont think he will be decent.
I felt like Cunningham was a reach and that there were better options with that draft pick. I haven't heard really anything bad about Cunningham. What I really mean by not having a good feeling is just a gut feeling.

I dont post much, my apology, but wanted to give an opinion. Taylor Price should be placed on IR. I believe this was an extraordinary reach in our draft. Already 2 undrafted receivers have made the Cardinals 53, and I prayed we would go after Blair White out of Michigan State, but he went undrafted and looks likely to make the Colts 53. We could have garnered another option at OLB instead of the pick of Price, and then given Jenkins or Owens a shot at the 53, or even Farnham.
Im still upsety Clay Matthews is not on the roster. So I guess Ill spend the weekend waiting on someone of value to get cut.

A whole boat-load of wrong in that.
