I'd have to go with either Champ Bailey or Urlacher.

ok lets change this a biy

1. who would you choose?

2.WHO WOULD BELICHICK CHOOSE?

If we could poach Bob Sanders at the end of the year...there would be proof that God is a Patsfan. Him and Merriweather for 5 years would be fine by me.

Without a doubt ....

Ed Reed!

I was just looking at the Chargers fans version of this thread. One guy said he would take Sean Taylor.

Sean Taylor blows, he makes big hits sometimes, but more often he blows the play trying to line up a big hit. That's a sad selection.

Of course, someone here took John Lynch...but I was assuming that was a joke.

I was the guy that took John Lynch,He is a good player,I think he is a good patriots type player.Yes,He's Older,But he is definately still a play maker.Ive always been a lynch fan..

Ed Reed would be my choice.

In this order:

1) Ed Reed
2) Champ Bailey
3) Bob Sanders
4) Nick Mangold
5) Kerry Rhodes

Ed Reed would be my choice.

For some reason, I have never been as impressed with Reed as others, but BB seems to love him so he would probably be my choice as well.

God d@mn Stephen Jackson would be a BEAST with this team. I'm starting to sell short on Maroney... He has bad instincts at the line. You can't teach that. If we just had a big bruiser who could bust off guard and break tackles... Oh man. It wouldn't even be fair.

Oh Good GOD. Those "bad instincts" at the line are going at a 4.3 ypc clip. Maroney will be fine. I realize this thread is just for fun, but given the premise, it's ridiculous to pick RB as the position we'd want to bolster.

LB - Nick Barnett, AJ Hawk, Derrick Johnson, Barrett Ruud, Patrick Willis, DJ Williams

DB - Ed Reed, Bob Sanders, Champ Bailey

BTW, I realize it's an incredibly small sample-size, but Stephen Jackson has rushed 39 times for 118 yards (3.0 avg.) and Maroney and his bad instincts have gone for 35 for 149 yards (4.3 avg.), this despite splitting time.

Hmmm...that player used to be Moss for me, but I guess we already have him. I would say Tomlinson, but he's a little b**ch...I'm gonna go with Chad Johnson, only because I think he's hilarious and he would be sick on the other side of Moss..otherwise I would say Champ Bailey

Tough choice for me between Ed Reed, Sanders and Bailey. I'd have to pick Champ Bailey though. The man practically takes away half the field.

Jason Taylor would be an absolute beast from the Elephant spot though.

Adrian Wilson - The man plays like Rodney Harrison in his prime. He can play close to the line or back in coverage. I had only heard about him until mid-2006 and the Monday night game against the 49ers.

I hate Champ Bailey, but I would want him to shut down one side of the field (if I couldn't have Wilson).

Can I get someone to say they would take Peyton Manning? Geez, since someone wrote Steve Smith, why not Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne? Isn't Moss enough?

For me it would either be Dansby or Champ Bailey.... I'd lean towards Bailey... but Dansby.... man would he be a player for us.

Ed Reed or Larry Johnson.

My God... Imagine a beast like Larry Johnson busting up the gut!???

Special Shout out to Patrick Willis. That kid is going to be a star in a few years.

Stolen idea from the Chargers board.

If we could add one player from the league to this team, who would you pick? It can't be someone just to sabotage another team; it's got to be a player that you would legitimately like to have here.

I'm going with Champ Bailey. Could you imagine?

Don't get greedy. We have all the players from the other teams this year.:D

Ed Reed
Lofa Tatupu - Karma baby!

I had mentioned Smith, and this is why. Here's your lineup:

Moss
Smith
Welker
Watson
Brady
Maroney

and the offensive line.

I don't see how any defense in the NFL could even slow that lineup down, nevermind stop it. Heck, Imagine going 4 wides and tossing in Stallworth for Watson, or Emptying the backfield and putting all 5 of them into the pattern.
