I'm surprised they didn't give him the SB MVP for that epic performance. He was clearly robbed!

LOL at picking one common opponent as the barometer over 16 year careers. double LOL at looking at their W-L record as determinative. Did you not see the game last night??? If that did not prove to you that teams win games and championships and not quarterbacks, I don't know what will. The won loss record is a data point, it is not the whole story. IMO, the whole story favors brady, because they are now in a virtual dead statistical heat, but Brady has the better record and IMO passes the eye test as the better player.

So we can't talk about their records in the playoffs. We can't talk about how they played against a common opponent. We can't talk about how they have performed in big games, about who rises in the face of adversity, or about the weapons each played with. We can only talk about overall stats. Got it. Now I see why you think Manning is about as good as Brady. Triple LOL. Smh.

Once again people on this forum are looking for reasons to be upset

Nobody actually believes Manning surpassed Joe Montana or Tom Brady in the all time rankings. Deion Sanders, who I trust much more than some asshat blogger said as much. These article titles are click bait just like "you wont believe which celebrity has AIDs and wants to marry his dog"

To be fair, I would be curious to which celebrity wants to marry his dog. :)

"Peyton Manning solidifies place as NFL’s best QB ever"

Why did I know one of these dumb @$$ articles would pop up today!

With Super Bowl 50 win, Peyton Manning solidifies place as NFL’s best QB ever

-Peyton Manning’s NFL journey started as the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 draft and, by all accounts, is ending after Super Bowl 50.

If the reports are true, Manning will go down as the best quarterback in NFL history.

-Even before Manning got his second ring he deserved to be looked upon as the NFL’s all-time greatest quarterback. Now that he has ring No. 2, there really shouldn’t be any debate.

lol

no witty comment, no countering with a litany of facts.

just a simple lol and walk away. The discussion isn't even worth having.

Some really solid statistic grabbing out of thin air! This article is almost cute as the author takes no attempt at hiding the butterflies he has in his stomach for Peyton. Quick, if you look, he might be blushing

That being said, I'm actually surprised at how many publications are putting effort into making the statement that Peyton rode the defense to a SB win, and not the other way around.

I don't get this. What is it about his personality that is so dislikable? Look at this quote from him when asked if he is one of the all time greats.

“That is a hell of a question and I wouldn’t put myself in there. I think there’s some incredible players that have played the position and a lot of guys do things differently to get the job done. You see different styles, different techniques. When you look at me being a fan of Joe Montana — nobody ever did it better than Joe Montana. In a way he was like the Michael Jordan of football. The style and the grace and the beauty of what Joe’s style was, it never looked hard for Joe. Another one of my idols, Steve Young, who was one of the most gifted players to ever play. You look at Troy Aikman, the efficiency with the way he played. You look at Aaron Rodgers and the way that he’s playing and you can’t imagine another quarterback could play as flawlessly as a guy like Aaron Rodgers. Then you watch Russell Wilson play and you never could imagine someone could get out situations and make plays out of nothing like Russell Wilson. Then you watch Cam Newton play. You’re blown away by the different styles of all these different players that make this game so spectacular. I think of myself as kind of someone who has got to think my way through the game, has to understand coverages, anticipate things. I have to work my butt off all week and work really hard to get to the game feeling confident with what I am trying to accomplish and get down the field to score some points. I guess for me because I have to work so hard at it and try so hard at it, that’s part of enjoying it for me, but I look at other players and say, Gosh, I wish I could make it look as easy as they make it look. It’s more than I could have ever imagined growing up as a kid on Portola Drive in San Mateo, California. I used to throw the ball in the Candlestick Park parking lot and third lot — just loved played in the street with my friends and drawing up plays on pieces of paper and memorizing them with my neighbors across the street. I couldn’t have ever imagined my life being what it has become. Hopefully the journey is not over, I still feel like I have more to achieve as a player. I still feel like I have more things to prove to myself. I look forward to those opportunities down the road.”

This is how Brady has always carried himself. I have heard it before, but I don't get the personality excuse. The only things I can make sense of is he wins too much, has too great of a life, and doesn't do funny commercials.

Wrong about the funny..... Correct about the rest. :D

people are so salty lool

Hyuck yuck yuck.....tee heee heee

"Hey guys.....I just went to the Pats fan forum and told them they're salty.....hyuck yuck"

Beside a few outliers, most analyst indeed don't believe he is the greatest. No one from nfl.com, espn, msn, etc.. not even trolls like Bayless and Steven A. Smith. Even Mark Kizla from the denver post, Kiszla: Peyton Manning a competitor to the very end
He has Manning at number 4, but purposely left Brady out of the top 5 to annoy pat fans.
