Does Marshawn Lynch have anything left in the tank?

So what do you guys think? Does he have any gas left in the tank?

I'm thinking about a 1-2 year rental for Lynch, he could carry our offense, with some good running game this O-Line will eventually improve.

A big named player like Lynch will seem tempting to some teams, but I doubt it would be this one.

We can get much better value by signing one of the types of RBs who are on the FA market and would come much, much cheaper. We will also likely draft another RB at some point, possibly even in the top 3-4 rounds.

I don't think that spending that type of money on a guy like Lynch would be a good move for our cap situation, and that's not even bringing up what seems to be a bit of a lack of intelligence, along with some attitude/work ethic issues.

Can he protect the Passer?

RB is far from the biggest issue with he run game, if you put a good OL out there you just need a JAG runner to have a good running game. Having said that, wouldn't mind spending a mid to late rounder on an all around back. But absolutely can't afford Lynch right now with the cap situation as it is as far as I know. Looks like a poor use of resources.

I'm totally up for letting Blount walk and offering Lynch a one-year go for it kind of deal. He is still very tough to bring down and is an absolute animal. No, it won't matter if the OL can't block anyone. But I expect them to fix that, and Lynch is much better than Blount is. Lynch would bring a kick-ass attitude, and by having him here for just a year, you mitigate against anything going haywire.

Next year's RB corps: Lynch, Lewis, White, Bolden, and hopefully some young all-purpose RB for the future that they pick up in like round 4 or whatever.

I like Lynch a lot, but really don't want to see him in a Pats uniform unless for the absolute minimum. He's taken a TON of pounding over the years, broke down this year with injuries, and isn't all that great catching out of the backfield. I'd take forte over him at this point.

Back problems and hernia = too much mileage.
He is done.

I cannot imagine that Lynch is willing to sign a contract that would make him a good value for the Patriots.

However, somebody will probably give him a decent final payday - just like Emmitt Smith with Arizona, Edgerrin James and Franco Harris with Seattle, Eric ****erson with Atlanta, OJ Simpson with SF, Earl Campbell with the Saints, Shaun Alexander with Washington, Eddie George with Dallas, Tony Dorsett with Denver, etc.

Marshawn Lynch is still under contract to the Seahawks through 2017. Even if he retires, the Seahawks retain his rights and you'd have to trade to get him..

He might be under contract but most likely Seattle is not going to pay the premium to keep him there for another year.

Beast Mode will wait to be released. He won't retire and pass that money up.
