Tom Brady, EAT THIS!!!

Lol, he's not vegan. Didn't you read the part about the steak and the fish?

Get a grip.

His diet is a lot like mine save for the stuff I'm allergic to, like pineapple and almond. I don't have a chef though.

The caption said "the chef's kitchen"

So they have a "regular", presumably big kitchen and a chefs kitchen as well? Seems odd, and a bit of a waste of space, to have two kitchens in a house. But then, I'm not rich either so guess its harder for me to understand their reasons.

d%#*!@t Tom stop being such a hippy

no gmo's, vegan, gluten free. Hopefully he vaccinates his kids

ugh I wouldn't eat that crap if it was all the food left on Earth

Its really not bad - I eat in a similar way - basically mainly starch ( rice, potatoes, wheat pasta, beans) - some veg - very low fat/ oil ( that is the key). Its all pretty much comfort food and I stay 6-2 /175 and exercise about 1x a week (52 yrs old).

Interesting article, for sure. I'm not sure I could ever eat like that. Whatever gain there is, isn't worth missing out on some good tasting stuff out there.

I want a personal chef but this guy doesn't know a whole bunch. Knows a lot but his organic etc shows his ignorance. If you truly want the best you grow your own fruit, veggies and kill your own meat. Otherwise he's just trying to show off.

In his defense, he does say he'd rather link up with a farm; I assume for farm sharing. Unless you really want to be a farmer, it's a good route to go. I did it when I was cleaning up my diet, and it's pretty economical too.

Of course, I didn't hunt while living in CT, but I agree that hunting your own meat is a great way to go if you can. But most people are too squeamish to field dress a deer, let alone shoot one. I don't hold that against folks.

My thinking is the chef can put whatever he wants where ever he wants with no conflict with them and he can cook without interruption.

They go way overboard but overall I agree with the line of thinking and I understand why they do it. The crap and chemicals these companies put in foods is disgusting.

The wife buys organic at Wegmans and Whole Foods when she can. Fruits, veggies, meats, pasta, condiments, etc you name it. With that said I have veto power (at least I'm told that). If it tastes like poop, she'll buy the regular stuff. If it tastes ok then I'll go along. I like to eat healthy but I refuse to eat tasteless crap just because....

Brady's body is his livelihood. So is Giselle's. As long as I can fit in my pants, play hoop, run, golf and have a good blood pressure reading I'm happy.

The chef is a quack. The whole acid causes disease thing is pure pseudoscience nonsense. He is a nut job.

Human blood pH can vary between 7.35 and 7.45. Outside that range you are probably dead.

The problem is "sugar" isn't being used consistently here.

You're both right. Not all carbohydrates are the same, and the body can't tell the difference between fructose from an apple and fructose from soda.

I think the difference is that apples have skin and all fruit has fiber, so the sugar is digested slowly and doesn't raise glycemic levels, load whatever.

Basically whole foods contain sugar and fiber. i don't think those juicers, that remove all the fiber are good either, because you're just shooting a bunch of sugar without fiber into your system.

I'm no expert, but a lot of experts preach whole foods.

I know you can eat healthy tasty foods, it's just inconvenient. Eat whole foods and avoid extra sugar and salt. Easy if you've got a chef.

Restaurant chefs that know how to cook healthy food, still add plenty of salt, sugar and lard [fat] to food and deep fry food, because they know people will buy it and it's easier for them than doing work or being creative. It's criminal.

Yeah, we almost never go out to eat and it used to be something we did a couple times a week. Now its more like once every few months.

I read about nutrition a lot and just keep getting more and more confused. I don't understand the acid/alkaline argument and have learned that only certain produce items are preferable as organic where with others it doesn't matter at all and you're wasting your money.

I think to eat like the Brady clan a chef would be mandatory -- how could anyone cook for themselves like that? So, Tom eats almost all vegetables and almost no fruit (?!). For that to be tolerable, let alone palatable, it would require a truly gifted cook.

I swear, you can cook great food without added salt sugar and fat, especially if you have chef skills. Hell, I lost weight and lowered blood pressure and sugar in three months with my very limited abilities.

Somebodies going to come up with the greatest restaurant chain based on fish, chicken, vegetables and spices prepared in a health way and make a fortune. Any good chef could do it, it's up to marketing.

Gablingers low calorie beer was a dog, but less filling, taste great, sold that swill and equally repulsive lite brews from Bud and Coors.

I'm having grilled chicken breast with Mrs Dash grilling rub, steamed broccoli and carrots and Ponzu citrus soy sauce from Kikkoman, lower in salt than there low salt soy sauce and I'm not a chef, nor do i have the ability to cook enough to make it worthwhile.

It's delicious, by the way,I just wish I had more handy ideas to cook for one.

I think that stuff is high level. Just eat whole foods prepared in a healthy way.

That sounds great! My biggest weakness was always dessert items but I found some amazing smoothie recipes that are sweetened with a few dates, or a banana and are absolutely fantastic. One tastes exactly like a peanut butter cup milkshake. But theres no ice cream or yogurt in it. I splurged on a Vitamix and it made a huge difference in my smoothies.

Dates have a lot of fiber. Sweets are difficult unless you can enjoy whole fruit [I'd much rather cake]. I do enjoy very dark chocolate. it's an acquired taste, but 70-85% cocoa chocolate bars are actually good for you.

Yup. Actually, I use raw cacao powder in this smoothie, which has all sorts of good stuff in it, including magnesium which I'm told basically everyone is deficient in.

It's weird, I can no longer enjoy milk chocolate. I can only eat dark chocolate and only over 70%. It took about two years for my tastes to change. I also can't eat restaurant soup anymore. It's just salt.

I plunked down $500 on a Vitamix a few years ago and couldn't imagine life without it. My go-to breakfast smoothie: one cup of oatmeal, frozen fruit, nonfat Greek yogurt, whey protein powder. Keeps me satisfied for hours.
