It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Considering that they are up and Smith has two PDs I'm not sure how motivated they are right now in moving him.If their is a slight chance that losing to Detroit on Sunday helps our chances for a trade for Smith...then I will be hoping for a Chiefs loss. Early game 9:30 AM EST...I'll be watching.
First off, the Chiefs won't trade Cooper. He's going to be Sean Smiths replacement at the end of the season. Both Eric Berry and Smith's contracts are ending, and I'm like 90% sure they'll use the franchise tag on Berry.
With that being said, I'm going to go back to what I've been saying since week 2 of the season. SEAN SMITH, SEAN SMITH, and SEAN SMITH. With the trade deadline looming, by now, a bunch of other people have also picked up in the notion of a KC-NE trade for Smith. Honestly, it makes way to much sense. He's a top 5-10 overall corner who's in the prime of his career. Id easily give up a 3rd round draft pick for him because thats what you're sure to get in a form of a comp pick. He would change the level of our defense greatly, and would drastically increase our chances of getting another ring and going back to back. Seeing he's only 28 years old, you then use the Franchise tag on him to get him for a steal of around 13 million a season for another year, then let him pull a Revis and chase the big payday. Im praying KC loses today.
Are we content with our CB lineup or do we make a last minute trade?

Cooper has been a healthy inactives for 4 straight weeks now. He's more likely to be cut than he is to take over at the #1 or #2 CB spot.
You could, and people did, say the same thing about Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan last year.
There were some who questioned Ryans status with the team in preseason.- including me.You could, and people did, say the same thing about Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan last year.
If Pittsburgh loses to Cincy today, KC will be 1 game behind them with a head-to-head win. Would be difficult for Andy Reid to sell now. But, one can hope. #seansmith
I don't get this. What difference does the Steelers record have to do with KC's?
KC is FIVE games behind their division leader, at best only 4 after tonight.
They're not a WC contender barring a miracle.
They are one game out of the wild card and have the tie-break on the Steelers, one of the teams ahead of them. It wouldn't be that much of a miracle.
Five non-division leaders have less losses.
Four others have the same 5 loss record.
Not great odds.
