Fans should cheer Darelle Revis

He said brady should accept his suspension and said the pats are "always doing stuff"

If thats how he feels about a team that got him his only ring why should i cheer him?

This isnt a guy like wilfork or welker who even on another team are still patriots to me

Um, First, it doesn't matter one way or the other. Second, um, he's a good player for the Jets. If he never came to the Patriots and stay with the Bucs, the went to the Jets this year would you still feel the same? If not, why not? He was a mercenary - never claimed he wasn't - did his job, got paid, and left. No one wishes him dead or anything, but he is a good player for the Jets now.

You don't get it.

Patriots fans are madder at him because of his stab in the back Deflategate comments.

He's a Jet now.
Never can have too many Gladiator references ;)

Revis could be caught raping puppies and I'd still be glad he helped us get a post Spygate ring so that's my opinion on the matter for those of you who are keeping score.

All Patriots fans are glad he helped get the SB win.

And (most) are rightfully pissed off at his smarmy comments on Deflategate after he left.

Some still don't know about those comments, however.

DCWS (don't care, won superbowl)

I boo every opposing player. Mevis is no different.

The only opposing players that I don't boo are players like Big Vince and Logan Mankins.
Wilfork I get.

Logan "No-Show for the Playoffs" Mankins? Eh.

Cares more about himself than his team? Check
Cares more about money than winning? Check
Not worth our attention this weekend? Check

Must burn his ass knowing the only notable play for him in the biggest game he will ever play in ended with him getting abused, while the "other key free agent CB" he played with helped an UDFA CB combine to make a play that is arguably a Top 10 All Time Play while Memememe24 watched it all with his **** in his hands. That's punishment enough for him IMHO. Not that I'm bitter of course :D.

When Darelle Revis has his name announced Pats fans should give him a cheer.

He is one of the reasons we won last years super bowl after all. I don not blame him for leaving in the off season to go back to the team that drafted him. After the game starts and he is on the field then the obligation is over but before the game i think it be the right thing to do.

I know it won't happen probably but just my take.

The one and only thing Revis cares about is his salary. He certainly doesn't care about any gratitude he might receive from Patriots fans. You're wasting your time cheering for him.

Eff Revis. After what he said screw him. We got him a sb not the other way around. He wasn't a high key to winning.

I appreciate Revis's contributions to our team last season, but why would I cheer a Jet? This is stupid.

And yes, he was on a team that won a Super Bowl. But let's not act like he was the reason for it. His teams' records without Tom Brady are 48-52 (including the 4-1 start this season). Tom Brady is 153-45 with 3 Super Bowl wins without Revis. Let's be real about who won it for us.

Revis played well, but so did the whole team. The D struggled in the first play-off game against Baltimore, and Brady with Jules and Amendola saved the day, with Harmon clinching things at the end with the pick. Revis did have an INT against the Colts after we were up 31-7, but Arrington and McCourty were the ones shutting down Hilton while Revis played a clearly-hobbled Wayne. And in the Super Bowl, Revis gave up that TD to Baldwin, while Brady led a comeback for the ages and Butler made the biggest play of the game.

To be clear, Revis played a part in our Super Bowl. So did Arrington. So did Amendola. So did Gronk and Brady and High, whose tackle at the end set up Butler. Ditto Browner for that ridiculous jam. Lots of guys did their job.

But only one went to the Jets, then as soon as he could, started spouting off ******** about cheating allegations and attacking Brady and the team. And that guy gets zero ****ing cheers from me.

after what revis said about tom, i hope he's booed.
tom should refuse to shake that snakes hand.

this game is the closest thing jets fans will get to a SB!! lol

If I remember his comments correctly they were the same as many who did not read the Wells report. For him, that is forgivable because reading the whole report is not his job. (It is the media's job and they failed.)

I'm mad at him because he is good and an opponent.

To put it in bad movie terms, Shane said Pa should just accept the evil cattleman's claim because the newspaper the cattle baron controls said so. (Hey, it has been years since I saw that movie about the hired gun that kill Jack Palance. If it was an evil railroad tycoon, sorry.)

Well, respectfully, I am a 180 degree opposite from you and I find it odd that you are mad at him for being a good player, but give him a pass for stabbing the Patriots in the back in public.
