If and when he takes over control of the team...status quo?
More of "The billionaires club wants parity, so we're takin' it in the shorts....again."???

I like him. He's a very smart guy. Now that PudgeBob has publicly confirmed losing his testicles, I'd like to see him retire and Jonathan become the face of ownership. There would be no better time for this than taking his father's place on the field during the banner unveiling.

Don't really know anything about him aside that his father is a ****y and that he works for the Patriots.

I agree let the Putz with his "escort" be the official celebrity greeters for the team and a roving goodwill ambassador for his beloved League. We need an owner who actually gives a crap for his team and its fans not a wimp who is the footstool for his buddy Goodell and his beloved partners.

He's definitely a bright guy and he has plenty of experience in an ownership role as he has been at his father's side throughout their tenure as owners so knowledge won't be an issue, especially since Belichick ha shown then how an organization should be run from to to bottom. And after thinking about it for a while i believe that Job Kraft does not have the same need to genuflect for the 31. I think he's going to be far more willing to upset by the applecart than his father is. I would have far more faith in him talking over than a sale to whomever.

This is going to be unpopular because we all hate or are mad at Bob but I hope Jonathon can run the team as well. More accurately I hope he has the same eye for finding someone to run his team and gets out the way.

He seems like a smart enough guy more than capable of continuing what Bob has started.

Hopefully he has more of a spine. But most important is who he hires and not meddling.

He can't be worse in the public relations department.

Won the sperm lottery?o_O

Long ago in a galaxy far, far away I used to dread Bob Kraft's retirement and passing the reins to a son who just might be lucky to be born into the family.
These days, I eagerly await the passing of team ownership to Jonathan.
I can't stand the sight of spineless Vichy Bob, suck-up to Goodell and the 31 Club.

I think Jonathan is even more sophisticated than PudgeBob when it comes to things like being "hands off." He has been the main public spokesman re. team administrative functions the last few years via his regular radio spot on 98.5 and comes across well. One difference between Jonathan and Bob is that junior can get a bit riled up when insulted, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Unlike his dad, he probably urinates standing up.

I'd be lying if I said I was optimistic, but I'm hopeful that he'll be better than Bob.

I remember back during Spygate, towards the end of the year a poster on ESPN forums that had only 1 post prior wrote a long post explaining all the details of Spygate. It was widely believed at the time that the author was Jonathan Kraft. The post was subsequently removed/deleted and unfortunately neither I nor anyone else was smart enough to copy the contents.

The post went into great detail over everything that happened after spygate first broke. One of the things I remember clearly (from the post) was him saying that Goodell was meeting with BB, Kraft and others a few days after the spygate game and BB wanted to give a press conference explaining what exactly happened. Paraphrasing here, and Goodell responded something to the effect of "shut up and don't say a word otherwise it's going to be a lot harder on you". Basically saying that Goodell threatened them with much worse punishment if they spoke publicly about spygate. This was the posters (J. Kraft?) explanation for why no one from the Patriots said anything about spygate that year.

It was very long post and explained why the Pats were so silent during spygate. It seemed very plausible and believable and made a lot of sense. I wish to god I had saved it.

Anyways my point is that I think J. Kraft sees things more from a fan's point of view than a business man's point of view. I'm not sure which is better, but I know that for myself, I'd rather have someone that cares about the reputation of the team over what the other 31 owners might think of me.

Couldn't a computer forensic scientist dig that story up from the archives?

I have no idea. While some might say "better the devil you know", I'd be fine taking my chances with J over Robert. Still can't believe the disappointment I had from elation when the website went up to the capitulation of the owner within the week.

But - as one poster stated - hire the right football people and don't meddle is a huge key when/if he takes over.

There is no question that he will someday be the owner of this team. The question is when. Bob is 70. My guess is that he has a few years left and doesn't want to give up the jock-sniffing and bennies from owning an NFL team provide him. But to your point, it makes sense for Bob to give complete control to JK while he is alive and have a seamless transition in place.

I bet WellsReportContext was JK's idea- not Bob's.
