Nobody is attention whoring, friend. I'm just happy that a just decision was made by Goodell. Let's hope he repeats his wisdom, and kicks you guys in the nuts over deflate gate. The cheating has to stop some time.

Did you know that Matt Walsh testified before Arlen Specter and told that he often stood right next to the Jets camera man doing the exact same thing he was?

Well a swap of 3rds would have been nice but not a game changing move. I would prefer it than not but it would not have made a huge difference. It was more the principle than anything. This was rather shameful on Goddell's part. I don't care if we got a pick as much as the Jets should have lost one.

I had to write an article detailing this buffoon's latest decision in his fight against logic and reasoning.

http://www.thinkingpigskin.com/blogs/news/18485892-another-swing-and-a-miss-from-roger-goodell

My conclusion:
What could possibly have sparked this dramatic change of precedence? Does the fact that Roger Goodell used to work for the Jets have anything to do with it? Did he not have the balls to lay the hammer on his old team when push came to shove? I can't say for sure.

But what I can say for sure is that Roger Goodell swung and he connected with air, yet again.

The New Jersey Rats are the fat chick Belichick dumped to be with a cover girl Model in the Patriots dont be mad it was never going to work out with you guys. Now you see Belichick with his hot Wife the Patriots and you just got out of a bad relationship with a drunken obese toe sucking fiend only to hop in bed with a Man who underachieved with more defensive talent then BB has ever had in New England.
The Jets are pathetic no matter how much the commissioner does you a solid you still can't score your like the friend who gets locked in a room with a drunken soriety girl can't use the equipment or find the place to put it she laughs sober up and walks out of the room glad she didn't make a huge mistake that can also be said for any player who is lucky enough to run away from the Jets if they are lucky enough to see Free Agency.
Or the Jets are like a dirty uncle who has to spend a fortune to have a attractive member of the opposite sex to even entertain a conversation or dinner with.
Man I hate the Jets

When your the little sister of the league. Unable to compete with the professional franchises, you get a break when you mess up. Who wants to punish the little girl with the dopey parents that act up. You pat them on the head, tell them not to do it again. And let them go. :(
They dream of one day actually amounting to something. Every year a new hope, every year a bigger frustration.
But hope springs eternal in the city that never sleeps. This is the year, Revis is back! Never mind that he never helped them before. This time its for real! ;)

I'm sure your team would be proud of all this maturity and integrity you've been displaying in this topic kiddo.

They might be proud; he probably works for the League office.

Situation is tragic, utterly predictable from past jester-NFL interactions, and yet still incomprehensible from all sense of justice and fair play, rules of precedent, need I go on..... Just makes you sick to your stomach.

Only thing worse is that if you go to the bspn story and read the comments, half the posts have already changed the subject to 'why haven't pats been punished yet for deflate gate' (something they didn't even do). And there are no accompanying editorials of dismay. So there is absolutely 0 pressure for fair treatment here. On the contrary, I fully expect bspn to editorialize this was a 'good decision' in the coming days-- now that they have thrown up the test balloon and taken no flak.

My previous opinion was that the wells report might actually lead to Go-To-Hell's demise. Based on limp wristed reactions so far from media and fans to this travesty, you can expect a whitewashed report, no league punishments, another day at the $100K a day job-office for roger-dodger, and business as usual. Unless someone gets one of vlad's buddies to slips some polonium in his coffee, this will go on interminably (they just renewed his contract last year for God's sake and he ain't that old). Just, simply un-farking believable.

I hope that Kraft and Belichick let everyone know about players that they'd "love to have." It's been declared effectively legal by the NFL, and is well worth the money spent.

"I'd like to sign fnardrectumangle to a mil....uh, a BILLION dollar contract tonight..."

I have no problem being completely gauche...:D

BTW, I am 100% absolutely, unequivocally NOT SURPRISED by this "fine".The parameter has been established...you wanna say anything you want about a player under contract to another team and your intentions toward that player, the FEE is 100K.

See what an astute businessman Omissioner Goodell is? Always improving the quality and credibility of the league with every new decree. All Hail Hailstone!

The conversation that needs to happen:

Robert Kraft - "So, Roger, what are you planning to do after you step down following the upcoming season?"

Roger Goodell - "Bob, I don't know who told you I wanted to step down, but I love this job. I have no plans to step down."

Robert Kraft - "Rodger, I don't think you understood what I was asking."

This inconsistency from the league is alarming. Again, I was not expecting much - but this "fine" is negligible. Considering the amount spent on Revis, adding 0.1 M is a joke.
