Here is my question regarding the Moss trade. What if he fails their physical? He supposedly hadn't taken it prior to the Raiders using pick 110. Would the the trade be nullified? What happens then? Do the Raiders send us John Bowie?

He took this physical this morning. He Passed. He was in NE. (must have flown in last night).

Its done. I will post link when I find it.

In order for the Raiders to use the pick, the deal would've had to been completed first. Completed meaning he had to pass his physical (which its been reported he has successfully) and the Patriots having enough cap room to take on his contract.

Obviously they used the pick, thus the deal is done.

My god, I couldn't believe it when I heard it. Can you all imagine the potency of this offense?

beast

It wasn't done when Oakland picked. And that was what my question was referring to.

As per ESPN: "...The deal, which sent the Raiders the 110th selection overall in the weekend draft, was completed when Moss passed the Patriots-administered physical examination after arriving in the Boston area on Sunday morning. With the draft choice acquired in the deal, Oakland chose University of Cincinnati cornerback John Bowie...."

Randy better not fade into "Candy" over here...

This might be one of the best drafts that the Pats EVER had!!!!

I'm out here on the West Coast and the Bay Area radio show is reporting Moss flew to Boston on Friday.

Okay, the game is still played on the field... and you don't want to think you won the SB in April...

But DAYUM.

Wait, just saw this thread:

What puts this over the top is that SI has bought ad space on the header of that forum and they are adverstising subscriptions with a Brady cover issue.

Um, wow.

I didn't originally like the idea of Moss being a Pat, but I have to say, after listening to the commentators saying how Moss agreed to restructure, and is so excited to be a Pat, it sounds sincere. We were the only team he wanted to do that for....I think it means something.

Like everyone else here, I can't wait until the season starts. Good lord, what an offseason.

From the Moss press conf:

"You all are going to see some things you haven’t seen before, and when it does happen, don’t say I didn’t tell you.”

That gives me goosebumps. This guy is going to be ready to play.

Book your SB tickets, gang. Getting Moss for anything less than a 1st is a monumental steal. To get him for a measly 4th rounder is just mind boggling.

I know that we have numerous vocal Moss detractors in here. It'll be very interesting to follow your thoughts and opinions as this season plays out.

For me this draft is all about getting Moss, Welker and Meriweather. A + easily just for these 3 guys. The others who were drafted are insignificant as far as I'm concerned.

Randy in my mind has always been mature, hard working and smart. I think media just made too much out of him in certain moments..like TO he always works hard and prepares well. Keep him happy and hes fine and i think we will keep him happy with who we are..a winning tea,

Randy Moss put his money where his mouth is to come to New England. The wideout accepted a one-year deal worth $3 million, with $2 million in earned incentives. He had been due to make $9.75 million this year and $11.25 million next year, but tore up that deal.

I don't know how they do it...but I like it :D

Awesome. I can't wait until the Eagles get embarrassed at Foxboro this year

lol i like that

Thanks, Oakland, you idiots. Now I have to move...

Raiders and the Redskins, the two worst run organizations in league. One sells too cheap one buys too high.
from extremeskins..lol Skins fans are funny

Re: NFL.com: Raiders agree to send WR Moss to Patriots [merged]

Hopefully Moss has reached the point in his career where he no longer cares about yards and just wants to win. If thats the case then he will be GREAT with us.

Well....I think that this is the way to look at this......If he is ready to do what it takes to win for the TEAM.....He will be extremely successful for the Pats.....I think he has matured alot......time will tell

Goodbye Reche Caldwell!

:D :D :D
