@Kimjonessports said live from Florham Park that she doesn't think its likely Revis returns to Jets.

Its on twitter
Who is that? Are they reliable because I dont know NY media well besides Manish Mehta or however you spell it

No clue. My son texted it to me off of twitter. It was tweeted by Loyko and others.

Revis would be a fool to go the Jets, especially after winning a super bowl.. his contract would most likely run concurrent to Brady's tenure here. I know he thinks with green colored glasses for the most part. BUT, I don't think its a coincidence that he came to NE last offseason

Side note-- is it really necessary to have two Revis threads?

1960Pats I think you would agree that while Butler has a knack for the ball and very good potential, he is not anywhere close to the same level of talent, ability and experience as Revis.

If Butler gets his snaps next year, you will get ~50% of what Revis would have given you- maybe.

I only mentioned Butler because he wasn't on list in the post to which I responded.

I have faith that the Pats can succeed with or without Revis, or any other player. They proved me wrong so many times over the years that I've learned my lesson.

Jets were turned down by Cary Williams today reportedly picking Seahawks.
If they lose out on Revis,Tramon Williams may become a rich man.
However the Bills are way to quiet for my liking and I heard a chiefs board say he is considering KC as well.

I admit I haven't read any of this thread, mostly because it was never a secret that the Pats weren't EVER going to pick up that $20MM option. I find it almost incomprehensible that the "official" notification could generate a 9 page thread with over 170 posts.

WTF guys. There are several threads on this site right now with thoughtful topics to post on. Patchick's thread on why the same teams suffer for so long is a good example of where you should spend your time, while we wait for some resolution with Revis and Browner.

I have no idea what you could have talked about for over 170 posts on this topic, and quite frankly....I'm afraid to find out. :D

You missed a decent thread, though it strayed a little into a cap thread at times. Those drive me bonkers.

The Bills are very quiet, and it was less than 1 yr ago that Rex said it made him "sick" to see Revis on the Pats. Just saying...

I can bet you many around here won't be fond of him if he takes the $$ over winning...actually no one around here would continue to like him

If that happens i will thank him for that 1 more SB he got us..but going back to jets only for $$ and not winning will look bad to all of us pats fans

I will. I don't blame any player for signing wherever they want to sign. I'm grateful he came to NE and helped them win their forth Lombardi and I think it would be a huge mistake to sign with the Jets because he can leave a big football legacy by winning a couple more rings on his way to the Hall of Fame. I sure as hell won't be rooting for him anymore but I'm not going to dislike him.

I think McCourty made the right decision by staying in NE because there is real value in winning and I think that ultimately that will be the deciding factor for Revis so I'm still very hopeful he will return.

Agree completely the silence scares me.
Normally Rex would be running his mouth.
I fully expect them to make a play to tilt power to them.
His connection to Rex and the stupid money that the Bills will drop could very well get it done.

Quiet as in not talking? Because they've made plenty of moves in the last month:

03/09/2015Signed K Jordan Gay to contract extension.
03/09/2015Re-signed DE Jerry Hughes
03/05/2015Exercised exclusive rights by tendering offers to WR Justin Brown, DT Corbin Bryant and WR Chris Hogan.
03/04/2015Agreed to terms with the Vikings to acquire QB Matt Cassel and an undisclosed draft pick in exchange for undisclosed draft picks.
02/17/2015Released LB Keith Rivers.
02/09/2015Signed G Richie Incognito.

And that doesn't include trading for McCoy and signing him to an extension.

I agree 100%. If they lose Revis they will go on and continue to win. They'll find a player that can make up for some of his contributions and the other will be made up of a combination of scheme, game-planning and increasing the talent level in other areas. No question Butler could be one of those pieces. To your point, hes had the bright lights on him and made plays- a big quality for CBs to have.

Quiet as in how they seem to be being ignored in the media as a potential destination. With Ryan as their coach, this seems odd. Last year the stories were about how bad Rex wanted Revis back with the NYJ, but he was shot down by ownership. Now the narrative is Jets ownership is supposedly all in on Revis (at a much higher cost than last yr), while Rex's Bills are a non factor as they sit with $16 million in cap space. It doesn't make sense.

Trolllllllll. See all of the "l"'s. I win. Now get back to mommy's basement.

You've got nothing. You disappeared as soon as they stared winning and literally every bit of sh.t you talked about them was disproven completely, now you want to pop your little troll head back up and talk more sh.t.

Tough sh.t for you, the Patriots win another championship and you were exposed for the troll you are.
