Week 3 Thursday Night Football - Bucs at Falcons

Have been switching back and forth. Any "running up the score" talk from the announcers?

Matt Ryan is forcing the ball to Julio Jones too much, he needs to spread it around more. Almost 50% of his attempts this game have been at him

Has to be because of Schiano. Shows how being a media darling helps. No one will call out lovie smith.

This is some funny sh*t.

For a moment I thought that due to the Bucs offense, this game wouldn't make my over.

Never mind, no problem.

another lone whiner/complainer. In 24 hours the fans won't even remember this game and everything will be business as usual....I have this from a source inside Goodell so you better shut it or I'll have you investigated by Goodell's new, crack DV Unit....the Stygian Witches

The sad thing is this embarrassingly bad Thursday night game is the best thing that happened to Goodell and the league so far this week.

This has to be black magic

Who the hell names their male child "Lovie" anyway? That's domestic abuse.

So much for all the fantasy football owners that thought they would be slick and start Bobby Rainey when they saw Doug Martin was inactive, against the NFL's #26 ranked rushing defense.

Hey, I looked brilliant for playing him last week.

Less so playing Dwayne Allen over a non-practicing Antonio Gates.

And of course now this ;)

In case you were wondering, here are the biggest shutouts in NFL history

20.Miami Dolphins 52-0 vs New England Patriots -- Nov. 12, 1972
20.Baltimore Colts 52-0 vs Chicago Bears -- Sep. 27, 1964

Besides the fact that this game helps move the debacle at the Orange Bowl in the year that the Dolphins went undefeated off this list, here is an edited list of the top five games that do not include woeful defunct and forgotten teams like the Oorang Indians, Rochester Jeffersons or Louisville Breck Shampoo Girls.

59-0, Patriots vs Titans, 2009
59-0, Rams vs Falcons, 1976
58-0, Seahawks vs Cardinals, 2012
57-0, Bears vs Colts, 1962
56-0, Bears vs Packers, 1958

These are all regular season games; the most famous NFL shutout is of course the 1940 NFL championship game when the Bears beat Washington 73-0.

Maybe I shouldn't have started the Bucs' defense on my fantasy team. At least I started Vincent Jackson to ease my pain.:(

You might end up doing better than me who started Bobby Rainey in lieu of Martin.

Bobby Rainey (as of now): -2 points :(

Makes me feel a little bit better about starting Vincent Jackson. At least he's not negative.

Pile it on Falcons!!! Because your team is so erratic, I won't be surprise you could only score 10 points next game. So might as well do all the scoring now :D

That must be regular season only, because the Bears hold the record beating (I believe Washington) 73-0 in a playoff game.

Time to invoke the "Mercy" rule.

The thing about Thursday Night Football, the short turnaround time really tests coaching staff's ability to prepare and team's abilities to get their focus straight in a short time. That's probably why BB has said that he likes it. It's a huge indictment of Lovie and the TB staff, however. Total fail to get their team prepared and focused, regardless of the adversity and circumstances.

Hello Bill? I'm really, really, really sorry I got drunk at your house and hit on Linda.
