The problem with this is we badly need a Studhorse Grizzly too....our DTs are just devoid of talent or old.

As a classic Tight End in the Kong mode ~ as opposed to Flex End, my term for the other kind ~ I might agree with you. I have concerns about'is Core Power, and his Ricochet ~ Burst out'f'is Breaks ~ is pretty slothlike, in my Perception, so Separation may prove to be a Problem at The Next Level.

However, his Fluidity is Silky Smooth, he works the field adroitly to find Open Space, and he positions himself exceptionally well at the Catch Point: BasketBall BackGround shows, here.

And he's huge, of course, so he's great in Traffic.

As a Blocker, my early impression ~ I've got more studying to do, including watching the same Tapes over and over ~ is that he's not at the level of Rob "Don't Open Until Christmas" Gronkowski, but still pretty good.

I gave'm a 2nd Round Grade, but that may be colored by the lofty Value I place on Tight Ends.

I don't even think we need a good DT to stick in there. I'd be willing to take a grizzly in the late rounds or even try a salvage project like Mt. Cody, whom the Ravens are ready to cut bait on. I just think there's a happy medium between stud, franchise DT and UDFA or someone else's late round pick that you've picked off of the scrap heap. We may have been singing a different tune if one Mr. Love didn't acquire the beetus last offseason.

As per usual, my attention will be toward the playmakers with obvious holes in their game as opposed to jacks of all trades. Consequently, my interests often mirror players that BB avoids in the front seven, but I still enjoy it. I still think we need a stud edge guy (not that we draft guys thinking they're going to be mediocre or suck). Nink and Jones are great Robins IMO, but we need a Batman.

Shame. Brandon Scherff is staying in school for another year. Will be one of my favourites next year.

TE it is with the first pick!

fully jumping on board with the TE as our first pick parade.

Feeling TE in round one, DT/S/OG in rounds 2/3. I would actually rather safety be filled with a vet to go along with McCourty and Harmon. Corner is a darkhorse position if Talib leaves.

Somewhat agree, don't forget about Adrian Wilson as well. Also how BB's 3 CB(Talib, Dennard, Ryan/Arrington), 1 S(McCourty) secondary has had much success. If Talib leaves (which I don't think will happen, either franchise him or a deal on the short side) CB becomes a hole that I'd love to fill with either Dennard, Roby, or Gilbert

I would just say four things with regards to a first round TE pick:

1. If Talib leaves then I think CB becomes #1 priority.

2. Even if you exclude Gronk and Edelman, our pass catchers next year will already feature: Amendola, Dobson, Vereen, Thompkins, Boyce and there's still Moe and Harrison to at least find practice reps for.

3. I believe that Tuitt and Hageman would be very hard for BB to pass on. At least size wise, they are ideal fits for what BB likes from his defensive linemen. To a lesser degree, Nix could also be included.

4. McDaniels loves the spread offense. Maybe he figures that he can build an effective offense without a significant force at TE.


I'm not saying it won't end up as the no 1 priority, just that it's not necessarily cut and dried.

I honestly am feeling good at S with the way Gregory is playing this year and Harmon has flashed decent skills, plus Wilson is coming back next year.
I think DT and interior OL are a far bigger needs. If Talib leaves CB moves right up there.

Travis Swanson or Deone Buccanon. I like Jarvis Landry and Brandin Cooks too but hopefully after Boyce's performance last night, WR is fast slipping as a need.

Swanson is a good one. Though i'd be inclines to go with the best corner despite Talib being here or not. Just get a playmaker.

To me, he compares very favorably to Jimmy Graham. I think his blocking is actually alot better than he gets credit for. The basketball background is huge to me. Look at some of the best TEs in the game recently(Gonzalez, Graham, Gates) with basketball backgrounds. Although all their last names start with G(especially if you add Gronkowski in there). Maybe we've got start scouting differently.

The basketball guys spend a lot of time boxing out another player and catching the ball in tight spaces, you can think of that game as giant drill where a lot of football skills are trained.

Scouts will talk about separation, which is important, but how much separation does Tony Gonzalez get these days? What about Boldin? If someone understands how to get position they don't need separation.

Hard not to see this and think ouch:
