I just can't STAND it any more - Warning this is a rant!!!!

Brady could win his 4th superbowl and Stephen A Smith will still say Aaron Rodgers is better.

I can't stand hearing about how anything that goes the Patriots way is luck yet when something goes the way of the opponent it was a good play. The interception Brady threw v.s. Baltimore was an extremely stupid throw BUT it was also as "lucky" (can someone find a youtube video of it) as a FG being missed. I also can't stand hearing that Flacco outplayed Brady when Brady was facing the best D and Flacco was facing the worst!

His argument today was so weak. The Packers had injuries? So haven't the Patriots. Brady has weapons? Rodgers has the best WR corps in the league according to everyone. Rodgers makes his line look worse when he runs around for 15 seconds going for a big play rather than Brady who releases it in 2 seconds because he's not greedy.

If I hear it one more time I will positively do something violent....either that or be forced to eat something I know isn't good for me.

The 'winning TD' to Lee Evans in last season's AFCCG WAS NOT dropped!!!!!. Sterling Moore knocked the ball out of his hands. It was a great play by this kid, and the mediots are revising history to take that moment of glory from him, and diminish his part in the play.

All freakin' day, all I've heard on the radio and TV is about how the Raven were a "dropped pass" away from being in the superbowl. What ******* dropped pass are they talking about!!!!!!!!!

This is worse than them making it seem as if the Ravens would have also won the game if the FG had been good, when the reality would have been that all it got them was a chance in OT. MAN, talk about revisionist history

AND what galls me the most, I haven't heard a single local guy say schit to correct this injustice. I'm shocked that no one here hasn't been outraged enough to post something well before my missive. (perhaps someone has in a thread I haven't read yet....BUT WTF.

Bad enough we have to live with all those other lies, twisted truths and innuendos that we have to accept this one as fact.

Exactly my sentiments. The defender knocked it out of his hands.....plain and simple. "A dropped pass" is a very misleading characterization......yet not surprising given the purveyors of this message.

I am actually watching the game from 2011 now and a couple things stand out. Flacco does like to throw to the right, which is really wacky. Almost all his throws are to the right.

Also, Benny ran well but we just stopped running the ball. Gronk was great in that game till he got injured. Was a great game.

I thought we owed the giants 1 but ended up reliving that last minute killer drive in the SB last year. F them, hopefully they suffer the same type of agonizing defeat as they did in the AFCCG.

Another pet peeve:

“If I have to pick between Joe Montana and Tom Brady, it’s an easy choice -- I go with the guy who never lost when it mattered.”

----
fact:
All playoff games matter. Lose and you go home. Montana lost 7 times in 23 chances when it mattered most. Brady has lost 6 times in 22 chances when it mattered most.

Put it this way, would it have been better if the Niners had lost yesterday, since (some say) it didn’t matter, as opposed to winning yesterday, winning this Sunday , and then losing when (some say) it really matters, on Feb 3?

Of course not. Finishing second best beats finishing tied for 5th/6th/7th/8th best any day. A conference championship is a positive accomplishment, one that Montana achieved less often.

Tom isn't there until we get that fourth ring, but WHEN he does, the secondary accomplishments do make a difference.

One of Baltimore's late touchdowns was made when the Ravens receiver grabbed a Patriot defensive back by the face mask, while running full speed, and fish tail dragged him almost ten full yards.

Where was the penalty?

More over, in the delusional mind of most Raven fans, that field goal would of won the game, not put it into overtime

Pats got this.

What's almost as annoying are the people that say the Ravens were a missed field goal away. No, actually Cundiff's field goal would've tied the game, not won it...

Evans made a mistake giving Moore a chance to knock the ball away.

That is not the same thing as a drop -- but he may have gotten just as much disdain from his coaches as if it were.

There is only the real...the rest of this crap is pure B.S.

If/then any dozen Patriot plays and the Pats win by ten touchdowns...krist...just stop this idiotic little kid nonsense.

He still should have caught it, this is the NFL, anyways it was a year ago and means nothing now.

Ravens may have beaten the #1 seed, the Denver Broncos, but they're about to play the real #1 seed, the New England Patriots.

Broncos are overrated as the #1 seed and I'm not surprised that they lost at home.

Ravens played one hell of a game, but they're about to face a deeper, more physical and mentally tough team in the New England Patriots. This team isn't even close to what they saw in week 3 or even last season in the AFC title game.

Stephen A. Smith could say something incredibly intelligent and I'd still think he was an idiot. ;)

I don't think I'll be watching any NFL related stuff on TV this week. The coverage of Lewis since his retirement has been over the top and it's only going to intensify this week. I just tried to watch some NFL AM and turned it off. I'll stick to the PFW radio show and that's about it.

What If game:

1. If Graffney caught that ball in AFCC 2006, PATS would have crushed Manning's hopes.
2. If the Refs whistled the play after 15 sec or Seymour brought Manning down in 2007 SB or the helmet catch did not happen, we would have another SB.
3. If Welker caught that ball last year, another SB.

This games can be played by any one and every one.

I'm going to follow your lead. I only watch ESPN/NFL network for Patriot updates. Stephen A Smith works on my last nerve. Go Pats!

Brady did get some recognition in the post game shows for breaking Montana's record for playoff wins.

But somehow I think ESPN would have had a 30 minute special if Manning did it

You guys are confused. Brady's defense carried him to at least 90% of those victories, nearly all of which were before SPYGAAAAAAAAAAATE :bricks:

The Ravens can attack with the run with two excellent backs, in the short and medium passing game with Pitta and Boldin and Rice, and in the deep passing game with Smith. This is a very dangerous offense that we haven't really proven that we can stop. As for their defense, they are playing with a lot of emotion right now. Paul Kruger has emerged as an excellent rusher. Suggs is back after missing the first game too. They held Luck to 3 FGs and Manning to 21 pts in 5 quarters. I would expect a very similar game to last years AFCCG, with it coming down to the last possession.
