Yes, because draft prospects are NOT ALLOWED to go to the bathroom on draft day... This post is FAIL. :bricks:

the point is the guy didn't even think he was a round 1 target. read b/t the lines. yes i realize that draftees can use the restroom. but the guy was away from his phone for a reason.

and tim tebow was intently staring at his tv with a camera crew around him at all times.

id prefer the guy who wasnt sure where he was going with first round talent and day one contributing potential to the guy who seemed certain he went first round but needs a couple of years before he does much of anything.

I really don't want to admit this, but I think Belichick has lost his forking marbles!

Pass on Dez Bryant, as close to a sure thing as there was in this draft, when you desperately need WR?

I was worried Dez would not be there when the Pats picked, but they not only passed on him once, they passed on him twice!!!!!!!!!!

And then to not fill another eed, like LB or RB?

Go get another CB?

I am so confused and p-o'd right now...

You are aware that there are other receivers available in this draft after Dez Bryant, right?

That's different. Tebow was tipped off by the broncos that they would take him somewhere in round 1. That's why his family members all had broncos hats on when they weren't even in NY.

Caught on camera as it happened..live.......

Si.com gave him a first round draft grade and he was also Mike Mayock's #3 corner.

They moved up, got a third, and got the player they would have picked at #22.

Did you know the Jets wanted him?

The Vikings also wanted him.

The Saints wanted him.

Seems like a better pick now, doesn't it.

i'm not saying he's a bad player. the question is do the pats really need him? especially at the expense of drafting a dez bryant, who could replace moss, or someone else. even an OL would have filled a better need.

i realize i am getting a bit too emotional about this. a good draft tomorrow would ease up things considerably.

I think he is the best corner in the draft (2nd year in a row the Pats take my favorite corner) and would make a great one/two punch with Bodden. I think Butler can do work in the slot, making a great group of cornerbacks. Now, you guys also have a sick group of safeties. That secondary could be among the best in the league for years.

I wish the Vikings had this secondary with our pass rush.

That's OK we wish we had a pass rush.
Doesn't matter how good the secondary is if you leave them out on an island for 15 minutes every play.

According to Gosselin there were five legit corners in this draft. Haden, Jackson, McCourty, Wilson, and Robinson. They all went in the first round. Bill wanted a CB and he new that there was a huge drop off in talent after those five. Other positions; not so much. This is proof again that the first round is NOT for the biggest need. The first IS for a need at a position that will not have adequate talent later on.

Have you been watching? You do know we have sucked at covering WRs right?
Why do you think corner is a useless position but WR is the key to the kingdom?
They are equally important, and arguably corner more important because defense wins championships.

By the way, what about all of the character issues with Bryant? And the fact he hasnt played football in almost 2 years by the time camp starts? He is far, far, far from a sure thing, and 23 other teams thought so as well.

I was pissed at first, but now I'm cooling down, and I'm more okay with the pick than I was before. Post-2004, this is a pass-first league, and winning is no longer just about controlling the LOS. It's about having the defensive talent to harass teams, kill drives, and create turnovers, all in open space. If Belichick thinks that McCourty + whoever he can get later will help more than Hughes + whoever would have come later, then I can live with that. I don't like passing on Dez Bryant, who I think would have solved our WR problems for the remainder of the Tom Brady era, but, once again, if McCourty turns out to be as good as he's being projected, then I can live with it.

Say what you want about Rex Ryan, but the man knows defense. He and Belichick both went into the draft with two bonafide starters at CB, and then drafted a third. That tells you something about where the league's at.
