Re: Reiss: Thomas *not* present for start of offseason program Monday

Pats’ Adalius Thomas not yet set on Jets - BostonHerald.com
In his e-mail, Thomas claimed he didn’t know workouts began for the Pats yesterday.

He doesn't know about snow on the road and he didn't know the workouts began yesterday.

Well ... what does Adalius know ... let's start there.

Also ... no Brady either - he must still be buying candles at Job Lot.

Has he been barred from the premises? Per Miguel, if he gets injured, he cannot be cut.

Ehh... no worries. he was probably just messed up from all that "Daylight Savings Time" change over the weekend.

What's up with Adalius? Wasn't he the "humble pie" guy who was down with everything Pats? I wonder what made him do the 180!

Re: Reiss: Thomas *not* present for offseason program start - claims didn't know it b

Something like 52 others knew it began, guess he missed the memo:confused:

Well, I know all this cold rain has made the windows of my car fog up. Maybe it's doing the same to Adalius's brain. Or perhaps with his toes in the air they blocked him from from seeing the calendar on his wall.

would love to get a 3rd rounder for him.

What, you mean Thomas isn't one of the players that goes the extra mile? I'm shocked!! To hear him tell it, the fact that he sucks is everybody elses fault! 3rd Round pick for him? We'd be lucky to get a pack of smokes.

I would love to get a seventh rounder for him, and I don't care what team.

Or what year. Josh and Holmgren are already swapping conditional 2012's... I'd even give one to get one or do a salary swap of disappointments like we did with was it Bethel{?} to make him more palatable.

My wet dream would be a healthy Leon Washington.

According to Rosie Colvin he was always a handful and came in thinking things should be done his way. The veteran backers and Rodney had to do attitude adjustment with him throughout 2007. Once they were all gone he reverted to form. No one left with the cache to tell him to stuff it. Although I do think he he shows up now Vince might make use of his new $40M cache.

I don't think roasted Afailius is on Vince's diet program.

If Leon were healthy we'd have to throw in picks... And because this is about challenging the system and not simple greed or disinterest, I'd prefer he not get what he wants in the process. If I recall he had a choice in 2007 and the one he turned down was on the west coast because he didn't want to relocate. I say send him as far west as possible... Not sure Bill is as vindictive as me, but beyond business, this is a teaching tool...

You can't do that. The Titans tried to with McNabb (which was a little melodramatic if you ask me...but he was a QB and there was a cap and something like a $20M option on the line if I recall correctly). Miguel is correct but I think the possibility of season ending injury in off season workouts is overstated, particularly for a LB who reportedly never overexerted himself in that respect from the time he arrived here. I don't think he wants to sit and collect his paycheck to prove his attitude is in fact the problem either, he wants to be traded to prove a point that he's better than BB's assessment or use of him would indicate.
