Unbelievable! Mike & Mike are still talking about Matt Walsh

so why don't you want that cloud to lift?

And who here has not wanted Walsh to come forward and talk? You were the one defending the fact that he has not yet talked. Thats one thing that you have mastered, talking out of both sides of your mouth.

I swear to God I have replied to this already from you...yes, here it is. http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?p=854938#post854938

Shockingly, you never replied. Civic duties keep you busy, or were you planning those trips to Toronto you are going to have to make?

No, just no point in talking to those who will not hear. One can only make the same points for so long.

Va, on your post, I respect your views from prior threads, but I don't think I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth. I want Walsh to talk, but can understand completely why he won't come forward considering what he'll face from the Pats and the League without being told they won't try to destroy him and anyone he's ever met (let's face it, despite what people here think about the League having it in for the Pats, they want this to go away as much as you all do--wasn't it the League who sent the ex-FBI men to look into Mr. Walsh (which, for the benefit of the poster way, way above was in fact reported in many, many places last month, including the NYT in addition to ESPN--it's a fact, face it. In fact, I believe Greg Aiello of the League admitted that they were hired by the League at the time, but said that their inquiries were "miscontrued" or some such claptrap)).

By the logic of some here on this board, why haven't Mr. Kraft and the Pats sued the Herald for defamation? Don't you all think that the Herald (a) has any common sense to not PO their local fan base by printing such a story if there was a decent chance it wasn't true or from an unworthy source and (b) just as importantly, run Tomasse's story by their lawyers before they printed it to make sure they weren't opening themselves up to defamation charges? I'll bet they did--if they didn't they're fools. Who knows, though, maybe they didn't.

We'll never know the truth until Walsh speaks and you'll all never hear the end of this until he does either, especially as the season approaches.

You are pretty arrogant. When someone asks you a question, you say you don't have time to post an answer. When someone agrees with you, you ignore it and say your original point again. When someone makes a valid point, you post that you are above talking about things like that. Plus, you come to our (I mean our in the we're all Patriots fans sense) board and talk smack about it.

So, for the millionth time, just answer this...why hasn't Walsh talked yet? Don't give us that complete garbage about the NFL "ruining his life". He has a US Senator, a Washington DC lawyer, and an entire NETWORK (ESPN) behind him...how much could the NFL or the Patriots do to him without it being obvious that they are "out to get him".

PS: There is already a thread about Robert Kraft suing the Herald here. Since you're in the legal field, maybe you can tell us yes or no if Kraft CAN sue the Herald or Tomase.

Ah the quintessential tag line of the douchebag with nothing to say but all kinds of arguments. "You won't listen, so it doesn't matter whether I say something true or false"...yet somehow here you are trolling for...attention? arguments? honing your less than impressive trial skills? "I can only make the same points so many times, but you guys are homers so you'll ignore them no matter how true they are"...pssst, dude, this just in - many people here have presented perfectly logical points to counter your argument. You like to ignore them because YOU (not us) want to keep the possibility that he might have something (in the face of overwhelming evidence that he doesn't) alive. If there is no point talking to those who won't hear, then STFU and go back to the Bills board. If you want to engage in intelligent (sic) football discussion, I'm glad to shoot the sh*t, but if you want to troll for trouble and suggest that the illogical is still remotely possible, and thus probably (nice argument!), I'd suggest you go elsewhere because the consistent denials of your ridiculous points in the face of evidence to the contrary (yes, I'm aware that the "evidence" is a lack of evidence but heck, this isn't a courtroom ) are just 1. natural fan responses 2. realistic responses of rational people 3. more fun to read than your broken record arguments about conspiracies to quiet an idiot who has lied about pretty much everything in his professional life.

...and I'm the one who gets banned. Shmessy, what was that talk about the difference between coming to discuss reasonably and just talking trash? I thought this board had a no trash talk policy?

Nope. This board has a no trash talk policy FROM TROLLS.

Is there something you don't comprehend about the website name?

Plus, judging by your screen name, you're only semi-literate. So, that's two strikes against you.

Sure you are. You lied in black and white here about being a Lawyer.

Once you made that outlandish false claim, you lost all credibility with everyone here.

I'm STILL waiting for your "expertise" regarding the question of legal precedence for the ridiculous demand you are making on the New England Patriots.

We'll never know the truth until Walsh speaks and you'll all never hear the end of this until he does either, especially as the season approaches.

The Pats haven't sued the Herald for a number of reasons. First, the PR hit they would take especially before Walsh would talk would probably be not worth the hassle for the chance they will win. This will keep the issue alive for a number of years as this case goes through the judicial system. The Pats want the whole thing to go away.

Which brings it to the second reason. Proving libel by the press is difficult even when it seems apparent. Assuming this story is not true, the Pats have far from a slam dunk case against the Herald. They need to prove reckless disregard for the truth or malicious intent by Tomase and/or the Herald.

Thirdly, what Walsh has to say on the walkthrough will have a lot of potential bearing on a potential lawsuit. If Walsh comes forward without a tape, the Pats lawsuit gets stronger against the Herald. But having Walsh out there not speaking hurts the Pats case since the Herald can argue that Walsh may have something to back up their story but the Patriots are preventing him from talking.

As for Walsh, he has nothing holding him back to sue the Patriots or at least try to go to court to stop the Patriots from speaking about his dismissal if what they are saying isn't true. If Walsh is worried about the Patriots dragging his name through the mud as you claim, the best way to stop it is filing a defamation lawsuit against them. Then his lawyer could file a motion for a gag order to stop the Patriots from speaking to the press about Walsh and his employment. At the very least, it would force the Patriots to tread lightly because anything they said or leaked about Walsh could be used in the case.

I thought you were a lawyer. I am not a lawyer and I know this stuff.

Crap, man. I have to admit something, then...I am actually NOT an astronaut. I'm sorry to have led you all on.

I'm still waiting for him to explain how someone investigating him equates to a hit being put on him. OR how all Walsh's friends in high places can't help him stay "safe".

I thought you were a lawyer. I am not a lawyer and I know this stuff.

He types in phonetics. He meant "liar", but it mistakenly came out "lawyer".

I mean, the poor guy couldn't even correctly spell his own screen name.

This is turning into the most disillusioning day of my life.

Liar wouldn't be the first word that comes to mind when I think of this guy. You'd think that if you are going to claim you are lawyer, you would at least have watch a few Law & Orders or Practice reruns to get a basic jist of the law. He ain't even smart enough to do that.

What a pu$sy...he was viewing the thread at 8:44 pm, and didn't even have the sack to respond. Trolling tool.

He is frantically applying to Law schools right now in order to get back at us!

LOL. That Kaplan University site is running slow for him.

Honestly, he's probably a receptionist at a law firm, or maybe he's interning at one. I would say more, but he might sue me for libel or slander or whatever it is..as a computer guy, I don't even pretend to know about law stuff. Where I one up footballfanetic (sic) is I know common sense.

Of course it would have been just as funny if you put SUNY Buffalo

Wow--a bit touchy about Spygate are we? I come back this morning and you all seem to have your panties in a twist, oh, the namecalling. I've made all my points in an effort to represent how non-Pats fans view this situation and why it won't go away for you all no matter how badly you want it to. I couldn't help myself reading all the "victim" talk here on the issue--it's just so ridiculous. Keep flaming away all you want, but it wont change how you or your team are viewed around the League. Whether you care about that or not, it's up to you, but I could care less.

As for the lawyer thing, the funny part is that I actually went to law school in your neighborhood--a little school across the Charles that starts with an H and ends with a D. You might have heard of it.

The little weasel Greenie mentioned it again this morning, with the voice over exclaiming "76 days and counting". Claims he we will ask Mortensen about it later.

This is so embrarassing for ESPN, but pretty much par for the course for them and their so called "journalists and reporters".

This whole thing is more out of hand than anything else I could remember.. I think we should remind some people in the media (aka EsPN) , that its not the pats fault, not the nfl 's fault, let the guy talk, if the pats say they have nothing to hide, so be it move on... Greenberg is a douche, the whole show is about the 2 idiots, that repeat everything every hour, and even the replacements they get to host the show, like Eric Kasilus, is a douce.. I gave up listening to them after the super bowl, I turn it on from time to time, because there is only so much NFLTA you can watch on the nfl net.. I dont watch the whole show because as you see it becomes sickning.. I tune into boomer and carton on wfan radio and listen to them.. Colin Cowheard is the only thing decent on espn radio..
