Gee, it sure does pay to have a healthy running back like Laurence Maroney at 100% for the playoffs, especially with Sammy Morris being hurt :)

The run game was awesome today. It's always good to watch Maroney in open space.

i will continue to critic maroney if it means him being a great rb for our team...:)

i hope he will continue being a major factor on offense all the way to the superbowl...

With the way Maroney and Watson played tonight this offense is unstoppable. We may never see Chris Hanson again.

Great game Laurence, I especially like the way you pushed the pile a few times, reminds me of your old running mate Marion Barber.

Maroney came up big, which didn't surprise the majority of posters on this board. While a noisy and misinformed contingent on this board attempted to discredit Maroney and the people who drafted him, it was the football people here who knew how to read the circumstances. No surprise.

At a point (or two?) tonight, Kevin Faulk got taken down behind the LOS. This was due to blocking breakdowns in the OL. However, there are (OF COURSE) precisely zero posts *****ing about this - when, were it to have happened to LoMar, as it has many times this season, the haters would've been killing #39.

A very productive night in the run game. Happy to see it.

Maroney and Faulk too have been outstanding; simply a great great game

Lawrence maroney is tough as nails, that guy just pushed piles and ran for miles.

If we dont have to play the colts I think the super bowl is a lock.

Second efforts, finding the hole, running downhill, moving the pile - that's some supersonic glass.
Any post game comments by him? Would love to read them.

Who was saying that LoMo was being saved for the playoff run? (It wasn't me!) Those people seem to be right on.

In the future we will see more great runs by maroney, his experience will make him one of he most threatening backs ever.

he just doesnt get out in the flat fast and quick enough or has the reach to catch balls well.

Are you sure you're watching MARONEY? Number 39?

Well, that was in my general bag of "apologeia", but I'm pretty sure other guys here used a way stronger form of the argument. And I don't think his midseason rushing travails are solely due to his being "saved..." The hesitancy certainly wasn't gameplanned in.

Um, I think he's arrived. A couple more weeks of confirmation can't hurt, but I think we can safety stop pulling out our hair about that draft now.
