Steve Belichick interviewing for College Job

Wasn't he the highest paid OC while he was here? Where is this coming from?
What's he paying Mayo?

You think it's anywhere close to 60 million?

This is coming from the fact it looks like he just cheaped out on all 4 coaches he hired.

Idk what he's paying Mayo. Average salary for HCs is aroung 6.6M. Stefanski is at 3.5M. McCarthy is at 4M. Saleh and LaFleur at 5M.

Payton is the highest paid HC and is pulling 18M. So no, I don't think it's anywhere close to 60M. Lol

I assume all 4 coaches that got hired/promoted received pay raises. But yea, the 20M he was paying Bill probably covers the salaries for all 4. Which is good value, considering he paid Bill $5M/ win this season.

So you agree Kraft cheaped out on his coaching hires this year. Finally something we agree on.

Of course it is. You're just too emotionally invested to see it.
A 36 year old with multiple rings as an assistant coach and the pedigree he has will never get a chance at being a DC is what you said. Please explain how you're being objective and not letting your hate of Bill cloud your judgement?

Why does everything need to be equated to hate w/ you guys. I always try to look at things objectively. You read, you observe and analyze. That's what men do. Not create a fantasy based on idolizing other men.

When BB was fired, you posted that it was your happiest day as a Patriots fan post-Brady. You've obsessively dumped on the man, his sons and others in his direct orbit for years. Just own it, you fool no one.

I bet McDaniels is shaking his head taking that Raiders job. He would've been the HC today of the Pats.
If JMD stayed, things would have gone differently. Without the Patricia debacle, BB would still be with the Patriots and maybe Mac would be a mid tier starter.

Fair enough, and certainly understandable from an emotional point of view. I would have preferred to have kept him around, for his evident skills, but I wish him all the best, and we carry on

No, we don't agree. Kraft is probably paying Mayo close to league avg. He's a rookie HC.

He's probably paying AvP more than he was making to keep him. AvP was on his way to TB for an interview, where there was a very good chance Licht would've signed him to help keep Baker. Wolf/Mayo didn't let him leave the building. Thus, he got paid.

Springer got a promotion, so he's getting paid way more than he was making. Same goes for Covington.

Regardless, we can agree that paying Bill 20M/yr was not a good investment these last few seasons. Obviously, how much you pay a coach, doesn't equate to winning results.

I already explained it here. Tell me what isn't a fact from this.

It'll never happen for Steve. The thing people refuse to acknowledge is how much Bill shielded him. When Patricia left, Bill paired him w/ BFlo. BFlo was the alpha. When BFlo left, Bill paired him with Mayo. Mayo was the alpha.

I'm not saying Steve isn't bright or that he doesn't know football from a coaches perspective, but the fact is he's a weird dude. Played lacrosse in college. Never coached in college (like so many other nepos did). Bill wanted him paired w/ BFlo and Mayo so that they interacted w/ the players during team meetings. Steve couldn't do it. There's all types of people. Steve is more of an introvert, nerd type that has nothing in common w/ the players. The players would eat him alive in a team meeting. He'll never be a DC in the NFL. Maybe in college. We'll see.

How the world forgets the collegiate long snapper.

Are any of them getting paid more than other options that were available?

Yes I did because Bill led this team to the toilet. I've been criticizing Bill for all of his bone headed decisions these past few years. I mentioned to @RobertWeathers as early as the summer of '22 my take on his age being a factor in not being able to reach the younger players. I've mentioned my dislike of nepotisim and gave my reasons.

None of the above equates to hate. It is simply observing, reading, analyzing and drawing a conclusion of the realities in front of me. As it turns out, all of my takes turned out to be accurate.

You and your ilk were the opposite. Members of Team Bill that defended all of his actions. You guys were emotionally invested in the man based on his past success. You were blinded by your emotions and called out anyone with valid criticisms as agenda driven haters. Well, you were all wrong. About everything.

Now you pout and whine about everything. Kraft is a meany. Kraft is cheap. Mayo sucks, should've hired Vrabel. AvP sucks, should've hired McVay. Blah, blah, blah.

You continue to be emotional and have become haters of all things post-Belichick. It's quite amusing.

I'm supporting Mayo and his staff. If they start making bone headed decisions, I'll criticize them. For example, if Mayo decides to start Mac as QB1, I'll go nuclear on his ass because I don't get emotionally invested in other men like you guys do.

There are some facts in their somewhere but they all include your twisted view of things. Instead of two pairs of young coaches working collaboratively you have it twisted as some sort of shield.
But even if we except your view of things we are talking about a 36 year old with a lot of time ahead of him to say he could never be an NFL DC is about the farthest thing from objective analysis. So like I said please explain how you're being objective?

Are any of them getting paid more than other options that were available?
They interviewed 12 OC candidates, 5 DC and 3 ST, that we know of. At least 5 of the OC candidates ended up getting jobs w/ other teams for reasons other than salary. One DC candidate landed a job w/ another team. One ST candidate chose to stay w/ his team for obvious reasons.

People here were complaining it was taking too long. They conducted a thorough, professional, and diligent interview process. I'm satisfied with the results. You can do your own research on who is getting paid what. I honestly don't care.

I drew a conclusions based on my objective analysis. Doesn't mean I'm right. Maybe he will get a DC job in the NFL. I hope he does. I would love to be proven wrong and we get to witness another defensive genius like his father was. Time will tell.

You drew a conclusion not very objectively though.

That was on point. Then you kinda got weird in the end...
