It's easy, and only takes a few moments. That's a pretty good point about running back's lifespan in the NFL relative to Brady's prime. I think Brady is in the smack dab middle of his prime. In 3 years he'll begin to decline if he hadn't started already.
Again, unless the Dolphins trade down (which would be awesome because the price for the #1 pick is costly) no way Dorsey gets past them. Best player in the draft and fits the biggest need.
Saying Brady is starting to decline in ability is like saying Bill Belichick has all timers and is losing his coaching ability.
What the heck kind of comment was that?
As far as back to the discussion our O line has been playing amazing thus far.
We could always say we want to see an improvement on the run blocking.
But I wouldn't spend a top 5 pick for that.
My ideal solution would be to trade, but if we can't do that I would dfraft
Mcfadden for a few reasons.
Imagine having Brady,Moss, Mcfadden on the same field it would be ridiculously hard to find a defense that could slow that down.
You say well this defense is amazing and we haven't really needed to rely on the running game yet.
The words of Maroney almost seem haunting he said we really haven't had to run if we have to and I don't come thru then complain.
Imagine being able to run the three M's at rb's then when the defense is sucking wind with their hands on their hips.
Brady goes deep off the play action to Moss and Jackson yes I already expect Stallworth to be gone, unless he restructures drastically.
We have alot of my favorite picks one second two thirds this is the value portion in the draft and where I believe the Patriots have to go defensive back or linebacker prospect in this slot.
Now if we trade the pick we have to look at Vernon Gholston, James Lauranitis, Dan Connor, Aqua Talib, Kenny Philips, and maybe the cb on ohio state.
I hope you guys pick him ... he's perhaps #10-#20 talent ... by picking him 1st you help us get more for our pick.
If the pick can't be moved, then I would lean towards taking Chris Long...
thatd be stupid. Put top 5 money into 1 of the highest paid DL already? Warren-Seymour-Green arent cheap u know
Seymour is only signed thru 2009. Drafting C. Long would make him expendable. Given Richard's injury history, Long might actually save us against the cap, in the long run.
Say McFadden would be available at #2. They could talk to him about signing a cheaper contract, but being favored to win a SB in his rookie season, or the Patriots could trade the pick and he could go to someone like the Falcons or Bengals. I don't think any high draft pick has ever been in this position before, and it is something to think about.

injuries can occur to any player. you would really take a chance in Long trying to get him to be as good as Seymour?
as a top 5 pick, he would get the same money as Seymour gets now without playing a single down
