Brady's legal team expands

I've said this before, but hell I just want TMZ to investigate the NFL and their part in deflate gate. They sure have a way of getting information and than proof to back it up and they didn't seem intimidated by the NFL with the Ray Rice stuff

characters are all there Jastremski and Mcnally they would be like brendan dassey and his mom, brady is steven avery, and that sex addict lawyer is goodell....its almost eery the similarities

No idea, to be honest. I sure hope so.
So a stay would be the suspension would be temporally off? I thought it meant the suspension was on while they handled it. What you're saying would make a lot more sense. Man I never intended to learn some much of the law here...
I addressed this point in an earlier post, and IMHO it is important enough to repost here to (hopefully) answer your question:

The Court of Appeals didn't reinstate the suspension. What they did was order Berman to reinstate the suspension. Berman has not done so yet, and certainly will not do so until all avenues of appeal are exhausted.

Therefore, the suspension is currently still officially lifted and I don't see any way that changes while we await these appeals.

Buckle up.

Fantastic news before the weekend. That and the NY judge allowing the discovery process to start with the Goodell lies on the concussion thingy, may be somewhat connected, in terms of the timing of each.

Two shots right across the bow on draft weekend.

Makes the Brady jersey on the Pats Facebook page last night make some sense.

I wouldn't read too much into this as a likelihood of getting an banc appeal

You read much into it? If anything, it means this:

1. It's not over like the owners and Goodell want.
2. It should scare the living bejesus out of the owners. A push to the SC and Goodell on a federal stand is not what they want at this point.
3. A NY judge has just allowed the discovery process to unfild in the concussion lawsuit that had ALREADY BEEN SETTLED WITH A RIPOFF of only 1 billion to the players.
4. It means Brady and the NFLPA are absolutely not going down and are into putting the funds into this.
5. This is a huge leverage play for the NFLPA, using this criminal activity by Goodell to push for leverage into the next CBA in 2020.

This is enormous news. I was afraid Brady would quit and do what Goodell wants via Kraft's request.

Quite the contrary.

Your move, Roger.

The defamation suit is still Brady's Ace in the hole.

And Kratz that defense attorney is Clement.

Incredible.....

In January of 2015, all Goody had to do was slap TB12 with a $8500 parking ticket and this would have been over.

...now we have Missiles of October.

News: Brady/NFLPA files for 14 day extension to seek en banc review. Says case impacts every player in NFL.
---
So does this mean temporarily the suspension is "off" again? I think Florio said it was an automatic stay when you were seeking the en banc review.

Yes.

I said from day 1 that Brady would never miss a game. The key is how the NFLPA can get the narrative back to the Wells Report, which is the source of the punishment, and hence the "the CBA gave me these powers" line from Goodell.

It's like a car race. Brady went ahead last fall, now it's back to Goodell in the lead, but Brady will win this race in the end because Goodell has a lot to hide.

Goodell should have quit when Brady decided to take a federal stand. No way Brady does that if he is in any way guilty.

And the thing is, he knows he is not guilty, but the owners who want to weaken the Pats still told him to frame.

The question is, who is it besides Woody Johnson, Bisciotti and irsay? Is it Jerry Jones? Is it Dan Snyder? Is it Bob McNair down in Houston who actually publicly stated that Brady "destroyed" his phone, which is a lie.

And Kratz that defense attorney is Clement.

Very good comparison. I was incensed watching that documentary. It was an absolute horror show. It's sickening watching ego, power, money and greed be used to try to destroy someone.

I would love to be a fly on wall in whatever room Bob Kraft is in right now.

It should scare the living bejesus out of a lot of people in a lot of industries.
3. A NY judge has just allowed the discovery process to unfild in the concussion lawsuit that had ALREADY BEEN SETTLED WITH A RIPOFF of only 1 billion to the players.
FWIW, they are not going to conduct discovery on the lawsuit which has already been settled (once a lawsuit is settled, there's certainly no need for discovery).

This is the lawsuit between the NFL and their insurance companies to determine who is going to pay the $1 billion. The insurance companies are essentially arguing that they are not obligated to cover something that came as a result of negligence or fraud, and they're absolutely right, so they are going to want to prove the NFL engaged in negligent, fraudulent behavior.

I wish they got this guy for the circuit hearing. Maybe he wasn't interested at the time I don't know.

The media coverage alone parallels this to that documentary. Obviously not to the extent of a possible murder, but the way the media covered the entire thing and the slants to which they covered it just reeks of Deflategate. It's truly remarkable.
