Watching this boomerang on Goodell/the NFL/the media is one of the most satisfying feelings I've had in recent memory. Sweet, sweet schadenfreude.

I'm sorry guys, but as exciting and revealing as yesterday's story seemed, I really don't see much of a change in the narrative out there today. Its the same mediots making the same unsubstantiated allegations, all gleefully willing to defy reason, science and common sense in order to continue a story that by anyone with a wit of sanity knows isn't a story at all. One less pound of pressure on a cold night is NOT going to give anyone any competitive advantage. Yet here we are watching our team being looked on like they were shaving points or playing with 12 guys. And this is AFTER he revelations of yesterday

Here's my fear. Bob Kraft is not going to back down. He is not going to accept any so called face saving punishment from Goodell, and I bet he told him so at his party. The fear is that Goodell is such an idiot that he stupid enough to start that fight. He really is that BAD at his job.

I expected to se a change in the narrative today, but I haven't seen it, and it worries me.

I dared myself to listen to some media today after hearing what was reported.

I still get the assembled cast saying, but why weren't the Indy balls deflated. Why on the surface, this argument appears valid. But, if you consider the fact that science is at play, maybe they need to ask the question, "Why weren't the Indy balls deflated?".

Same old crap, Patriots are always at fault. People (media types) need to apply some critical thinking in this process and figure out what information is missing and why hasn't the league been more transparent in their investigation. A simple statement on Friday, when their lead man led people to believe it would be a 2-3 day investigation on their overall plan wouldn't hurt.

Of course, they are completely ignoring Bill Belichick's statement that their equipment staff vigorously rubs each football down before giving them to the referees, thereby increasing the temperature of the ball. Unless the Colts follow the same procedure, there is little chance that their footballs would have the same pressure drop. Their initial temp started out lower.

The funny thing is Bill Nye says this stuff is garbage, but even I remember back from my chemistry class that if you apply friction to a gas that the molecules will speed up and expand. And my chemistry teacher will back me up that I shouldn't be considered an expert on this type of stuff. But the supposed "Science Guy" thinks it is garbage? And the thing is he didn't even say why he thinks it is garbage.

As to changing the narrative...
Most outlets will act as if nothing happened. TV news & newspapers have ALWAYS driven the narrative where they wanted by simply NOT MENTIONING news that contradicts their world view.
The Internet has exposed this behavior despite all the BS noise & misinformation on the net.

Those outlets somehow forced to deal with it will do like King. Gradually cover snippets of "new" info acting as if they the intrepid are investigating. Notice that moron King is still so obtuse that he continues to look for team malfeasance even after being informed that physics explains it all.
