Screw off Ray Lewis

Newsflash: Ray Lewis is not too bright. (yeah, big shocker) He apparently believes in the Butterfly Effect, in which the timeline skewed at just that particular moment that allowed Brady to fulfill his GOAT destiny. So if that fumble had been upheld instead, Brady would have ended up being a Wikipedia footnote entry and stacking groceries by 2005.

Or something.

Whatever, Ray.

It's on NFL.com. I just heard the whole thing in its proper context. I don't like Ray Lewis.
Guy sounds pissed off the Ravens got their asses kicked. It was more aggressive than I expected considering his respect for Brady's game.

I'm not going to say he's wrong about the rule, but bad, post season changing calls happen in every play off tournament. `Face Guarding` helped Peyton get to Rex Grossman. Ben Roethlisberger beat the Seattle Seahawks in a game that looked straight up Black Sox rigged. If you go through the history of the play offs, you'll find an official who changed the course of a game, and thus NFL history.

The only reason the Tuck Rule is special, even though it was called before that night, and called plenty of times after, os because people are haters

New England got one nice break in the play offs, 14 years ago, and has done plenty since without one. Other teams have made out a lot better if we want to talk about bogus play off calls, and in more helpful places than the Divisional round.

I heard him too, Its almost as if he played in that tuck rule game.

Sounds like he is just butt hurt from his team loosing to the Pats and he couldn't do anything about it so he takes a stab, no pun intended, at Brady.

What a loser.

Is it really a foregone conclusion that if the Raiders beat the Pats that night and the Pats don't win the SB, that Brady just quietly returns to the bench, Drew triumphantly returns as starter not worrying about the looming presence over his shoulder and all is right in the world?

QB controversies don't work that way. I believe Bill had made his decision long before the SB.

IIRC, it was the Saints game in Foxboro where Belichick made his decision.

He does not strike me as the type (then, as now) to change on a whim because of a close loss in a playoff game against one of the better teams at the time.

If Ray Lewis did not have two friends to turn state's evidence on....

I thought it was funny because he said he was "just being honest."

Substitute the word honest with the words phucking stupid and then preach it out like Reverend Lewis himself.

If the lord Jesus did not invent the tuck rule, Tom Brady would be invisible! I say Praaaaaaase the lord. Can I get an amen! Lord have mercy.

Peyton doesnt have a title without the tuck rule

Pats dont choke in 2006, and Brady has titles in 2007, 2008, and 2011. Hell he might have 4 with 2006.

So Brady - 4
Peyton - 0
Eli - 0

Its a butterfly effect

I think the op is trying to say Tom was gonna get his regaurdless.

Obviously Peyton doesnt have a title at all since he won it in 2006, and Eli doesnt have a title.

Things worked out differently

What Im trying to say is, with Ray's insane comment you can argue the tuck rule hurt Brady in the long run.

Brady might have been even MORE successful.

Maybe Brady would have had an even bigger chip on his shoulder
