I'd be interested in hearing more about Cannon. You have to think he's showing something if they keep cycling him in at the tackle spots.

Lloyko is conveniently ignoring the games missed by Thompkins. He should be more careful about throwing stones from the lawn of his glass house.

Ummmm...... Thompkins missed four games last year due to being a healthy scratch. Dobson also missed four games games due to injury. So they both played 12 games each. Maybe you should be more careful before you throw stones. Lloyko made an apples to apples comparison.

To look at the game realistically it s clear this was an A effort with B execution game.

However that is often better than a B effort A execution game so I will take it.

Some bad throws by Brady. Some bad drops by WRs/TEs. Some bad runs by the OL and RBs. Some open WRs/TEs by the DBs and not much pressure overall.

A lot of things in that game could have been a lot better. But if they can some how bring similar intensity for the rest of the year I like our odds at a bye week.

Maybe you guys can debate via intermediaries :D:p

Thanks to Deus and Rob for those very nice nuggets.

Now, is Rob really on Deus' ignore list? :)

Watched the interaction that got Rob re-ignored and it was just typical dont-argue with me Im right ego.

Nah! He reads my posts when people quote them. He just doesn't want to admit he does. I'm fine with it.

Matt Patricia:

He does what Bill wants. This is what they do. It's Bill's direction. If you have any complaints, direct them to Bill.

I'm skeptical about the off-field problems theory. A few writers I follow on Twitter said right away their sources confirmed there were no such issues (yeah, I know we're all a bit down on "sources" these days). Also, BB wouldn't be so effusive (for him) in his praise today. I think the team saw his limited ceiling; I think that's why LaFell was brought in.

Best of luck to KT; he has a good young QB there and maybe they can grow together.

In reference to everyone complaining about not pressuring Dalton, Bedard said that the Bengals' offensive line is excellent and no one pressures him.

On player development, and the idea that players aren't developing in NE:

I think it's a fair thing to say, but Dennard has gotten better since last year Logan Ryan is what he is... he's just a guy.

Something to be said for, if they had a guy like Robert Quinn, they make their guys (especially on the edge) do more than other teams do.

Felger does not think Vereen has gotten better? Wha?

I have been objective and given Deus dozens and dozens of likes. This thread for instance Ive given him one for defending Brady.

Ive been purposefully mature and restrained about giving him Dislikes.

Each of the three times TOTAL Ive Disliked a post of Deus' he has popped out from behind his Ignore shield to call me a troll and insult me with something just narcissistically over the top.

I thought Brady left a few plays out there, as well. But I also thought the receivers were to blame for a few drops.

That's good news. This was the first game the offense was remotely in sync, and it was productive. I expect the accuracy (Brady) and hands (receivers) to improve as they (hopefully) continue to play games without a DL jailbreak on every play.

Vereen did nothing his rookie year. He didn't do anything until year two.

Revisiting Thompkins: They make personnel decisions in a vacuum. Not worried about who's practiced with Brady

You can't read ignored members posts when they're quoted anymore, FYI. The quote just isn't there in the post. It's a very welcomed change on these new boards.

Bedard figuratively stiff armed felger on the Thompkins/Tyms thing. But as usual felger had to get his last dig in there and then cut it to a commercial

Yeah, I think you can manually and he has responded to posts that respond to my post with comments that he would not say unless he saw my original post.
