Roster Moves Coming After Victory Versus Bengals

I think Tyms sticks cause they probably want 5 WRs. However it depends on Wright. If they are absolutely in love with Wright and see him as a big part of their plan they might go with what they have and hopefully have Thompkins in their back pocket on the PS.

EDIT: I guess they already cut Don Jones so never mind that.

Keeping Browner = cutting Butler
Keeping Tyms = cutting Skinner/White/Davis (one of them... really the move that freed it up with the cutting of KT in reality though).

Ebner was a healthy scratch as a special teamer. I'd rather cut him loose than someone like Butler.

Ebner didn't practice last weak and was ruled out with a finger injury.

I think browner is in good shape. Tyms not so much but would be nice to see him on the field to see where it goes with him.

And, moreover, Ebner has never been a healthy scratch. To put things in perspective: last year, he had enough value on ST alone that he made the 53 despite not playing a single down during the preseason.

Ebner is pretty firmly entrenched at the moment, with 2 roles:

1. A core STer, rivaling Matt Slater as the best ST player on the team.
2. A very credible LB/S hybrid in the dime, and potentially in big nickel formations.

Those 2 roles alone are more than enough to keep him off the bottom of the roster. He has also shown enough development and potential to potentially become something more.

Well by 4pm, the have to activate/cut Browner and Tyms, plus they will know by then if KT cleared waivers.

Could this be the end of the double Rutgers mistakes? I doubt both Ryan and Harmon survive. I think Harmon is a core STer, so cutting Ryan to open up Browner spot makes sense. I don't know if Tyms gets a roster spot or not. Right now they have one opening on the PS.

When McCourty went out last night, Harmon went in. he's going nowhere.

Neither is Ryan.

Amendola continues to take up a roster spot and be invisible on the field.

Tavon Wilson as well.

Two of the first downs last night came via Amendola. He's not going to see a lot of reps right now, and he's not worth his contract (which will be worse if he's cut, as has been pointed out a million times), but he's going nowhere, I expect, and if JE gets hurt, we'll be glad for that, because he'd be the one to step in.

I think it might be best for Easley to get IR'd ... he's really not contributing much and a red shirt year I think will be good for him physically and mentally of course. Amendola just get rid of him ... he's never going to get ahead of Wright or LaFell so what good is he. This team will win this year based on the run game ... less passes to go around which is good for Brady ... no need for 40+ passes a game. 30-35 passes should suffice if the run game is going.

But JE is playing outside much more often than in the slot, so Dobson would likely replace him.

People keep trying to correlate JE's role with Wes Welkers' but they are not the same at all. I don't see Bustmendola playing outside at all.

They will probably cut Butler. But there will be more changes.

At this point, Josh Klien may be waived. He hasn't been activated once this season and they look to have solidified the starters on the o-line (I think he was being kept for insurance).

Agree about klien and i think Butler

KT is not a ST's player that is something Brian Tyms have on him he can play on ST's Teams. I would love to see him get a shot to prove himself.

Has a redshirt year really benefited any Patriots rookie (other than Brady)?

surely they won't release browner????

We're 4 games in and now he has a hurt shoulder. Easley has limited explosiveness from what I see ... not sure what use it is for him varying his style to be effective as that usually leads to other injuries. Not a knock on him ... just a it is what it is.

Have you seen any plays he made that jumped out at you?

We are nearing the zero hour. I expect Browner to activated, Tyms to be cut, and hopefully Thompkins passed through waivers. Only about 15 minutes until we find out.

Instead of the lame disagree button ... state your case that I am wrong.

4 tackles and 1 assisted tackles in 4 games ... the kid is clearly not ready ... not 100%.
