Broncos sign Aqib Talib

We play in a suck as division so the pats are always going to make the playoffs. The Jets, Dolphins, and Bills all suck and are a joke of a franchise.

I wouldn't be so certain about that. Our division was one of the best in the league last year. The arrow is pointing up for every team in the division.

How is Denver closer to that goal?

Are the Redskins?

Kid, ask someone how the NFL works. The playoffs don't occur in March.

Youre absolutely right.

I always thought a superbowl appearance was hard and a step in the right direction. My bad.

If denver isnt close than i wonder where that leaves us, kid.

If denver didnt get.better and us worse with that signing than youre a misguided homer. Complain about the money but this season its irrelevant. Facts

Broncos sign Talib

in 2-4 years..the broncos won't be in good shape....

I'd say 1-2, but I don't think they're thinking too hard about that. They're all in for the next 2 years from the looks of it.

Let's see what Denver does from here on out. They still need to replace 60% of their offensive line, both defensive ends, and a wide receiver. Signing ward and Talib means they will have holes elsewhere. They're definitely looking out they'll be a force in 2014, though.

Why so defensive. Denver has zero.rings. great. You can count.

They have a better team too. So you laugh at how much money someone else spent of their their own.

Goal is to win the superbowl as far as i know and i can look at things unbiased and know that Denver is closer to that goal.

But hey. Who cares about that. They spent too much money for our best defensive player is all.

They have a better team? Why? Because they signed more expensive players in the first few hours of FA in early March? Because they have more players that will be available to draft in your fantasy football league this August?

Moreover, how is Denver closer to a Super bowl after signing a couple of players on the first day of free agency? There is still plenty of off-season, training camp, exhibition, and regular season before ANY team can get "close" to hoisting a Lombardi...

sad but true.....we'll just have to hold onto the "LITTLE GIANTS" mantra of 'if you lose 99 out of 100 that still leaves THAT ONE TIME that you did win'

I'm just so sick of the Patriots going 1-99 all the time!

I don't remember the Redskins coming off of back to back 13-3 seasons, and dominating the majority of the league, but yes--the playoffs aren't won in the springtime.

I don't think the situations are too comparable aside from that though. It seems as though they are choosing to sacrifice the future for the current moment while they still have one of the NFL's great QBs. More power to them. Let's hope it doesn't work and they are screwed all around.

They have a better team because they whooped our ass in the AFCCG and have gotten even stronger now. Meanwhile, Blundering Bill expects Brady to bail him out next year, like usual. Go do it all, Brady.

Danny Amendola will be placed on Injured Reserve long before then.

God I hate players on my team too, it makes me feel cool. High five for being a cool dude.

Just wanted to say goodcall on the Broncos FA strategy. You thought they would go all in on their defense rather than focus on WR2.

Although they could sign Decker/Nicks/Edelman any minute. :bricks:

Agreed.

It will be sweet to witness their demise if it doesn't pay off.

If it does however, it will suck watching ;)

Normally I don't advocate sacrificing the future for the present, but in the case of Manning etc I can at least understand it in this format.

LOL, tell that to all your brethren complaining about "9 years with no rings".

Please tell them about the 2 SB losses as being "steps in the right direction". :D

As far as i remember. And stop me if im wrong but they were super bowl runners up.. destroying us on their way too yea?

Yea. Ok. Were better.

Yeah, right..watch them actually somehow luck out and end up making an upgrade at the WR2 position :D

LOL

Honestly, who can blame them? I've been saying for years that we should be copying the Eagles' Dream Team approach from 2010.

Reiss suggesting Finnegan and DRC as replacements. DRC doesnt like contact and Finnegan was horrible last year.

I think people are just trying to remind you that there are many factors that go into the entire finished product.

I agree with you that it appears that they have the upper hand, but there are many, many moves yet to be made--and normally these big name moves don't work out.

This is a bit of a different animal due to the fact that they were practically there in the first place, so you may be right. In the meantime, just hang in there and keep the faith. Belichick will give us a winning season, and we will compete at a very high level once again.

Amazing how Brady carries that 53 man team on his back year in and year out.

The NFL is just like the NBA, I guess, huh? :D

And why did they destroy us? Largely because Talib--the same guy that you're losing your mind over--can't stay on the field.

Hey man. If you rather not goto the super bowlif it meant that you wouldnt win thats your chouce .

Cant win the superbowls you dont play in. Thats where i stand.

Denver had the more talented team before they signed talib, and everyone agreed with that in the AFCCG post game thread.

Obviously them gaining talib while we lose him does not help us.

Just because you have more talent doesn't mean you will win it all though, take a look at 07 pats, and 01 pats.

They may be better on paper, but that's why the game is actually played on Sundays.
