While I know what you mean (especially given an injury report that belies the Patriots 5-1 record, and may mean they're closer to parity with the Jets than we'd like to believe) the reality is that Jets fans, players and coaches continue to invoke the bad karma in their delusional, bombastic and obnoxious attitude that belies decades of epic failure as an organization.
I WOULD have pity if they showed some humility. (For example I sympathize with humble Cubs fans and hope they are rewarded someday soon)
For the Jets we're constantly barraged by a head coach and players who are constantly acting as if they're perennial Super Bowl contenders - even boldly predicting Super Bowl titles in the recent past. Twice. :wha:
The reality is, the last time the Jets were in a Super Bowl, man had yet to walk on the moon.
The reality is the New York Jets have yet to surpass the Houston Oilers in AFC East division titles.
As long as their fans, players, coaches and owner continue to conduct themselves the way they have for so long, I expect their record of "success" will continue.
Word.
To my mind, the biggest difference between New England and the New York Football Jets, is that in New England, everyone is all about the team. Individuals second their personal success to the team in order to create "The Machine" which will grind out wins.
For the NYFJ, it's all about personal accomplishments first, and their record shows why that's such a problem.
New England knows how to take ten fingers and make two fists.
The New York Football Jets are still giving each of their fingers a name.
And Karma, yeah....... I believe in Karma. She exists and feeds off of people like the Jet's fan base. They make her smile.
