Re: Re: Thru week 6 Amendola has only proven his critics correct…

So it's Amendola's fault that the Passes that were called when he was thrown to were covered well by the Saints???

This great tell me more? We should talk to Ian about getting you your own column on here.

Something really odd is exactly 366 days prior to yesterday Wes Welker took a far more brutal hit in week 6 against the Seahawks….

Remember this hit by Ryan Clark on Welker?

If this was Amendola, I think his career might have ended.

Mankind will always do what he needs to do to adapt and every action has a reaction pal, consider this the beginning of my adaption. You want just insult each all day, everyday like 8th graders OK I'm in let's do it.
I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.
I do however stand by my comment that when you say this:

Amendola doesn’t play football fulltime, if it was not the head injury it would have been something else, like I said earlier him on a football field is like dropping your iPhone on the ground over and over again, many times you’ll reach down pick it up and it will be fine but you know it is bound to break at some point.

and claim you are a guy who only deals in facts, yuo are wrong.
I'm sorry if me pointing that out gives you no option but to respond with a personal insult.

No offense man but you did nothing more than throw 308 words together here and generate BS response filled with nothing but excuse, which you then made a power play using words like ridiculous and good grief in an effort to insinuate that it is factual and not just a bunch of BS.

At the end of the day you’re the one sitting arguing against my position that Danny Amendola has done nothing to prove his critics wrong this season, Danny Amendola and his:

  • 3 games played in 6 weeks
  • 16/27 = 59% reception rate
  • 159 receiving yards
  • 9.9 yards per reception
  • 0 touchdowns

I am the ridiculous one here though? Big picture pal, my OP said “Thru week 6 Amendola has only proven his critics correct…” can you give me 1 legitimate fact to dispute what my OP title says? 1 thing that Amendola has done over the first 6 weeks of the NFL season to discredit what his critics said about him when he was signed? If you can give me 1 thing I will PM Ian and ask him to shut this thread down and I will open a thread titled “Brady6 is an idiot”.

How many of the 11 missed targets were drops? How many were defened? How many of them were poor throws by the QB? Target % means NOTHING unless you provide all the factors going into it..

Unless he has another head on his shoulder, he did not lead with his head.

Not only that but Amendola is a runner, not a defenseless receiver. Helmet to helmet contact/targeting and any other of uncle rogers protective rules do not apply.

One more.

His intention may have been to lead with the shoulder, but he ended up leading with the head. His shoulder hit after helmet to helmet contact.

And helmet to helmet contact is illegal in this case. Here is the new rule:

“The first rule change prohibits a runner or tackler from initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet outside the tackle box,” the video’s narrator says. “There are three components to this foul: First, the player must line up his opponent. Second, he must lower his head. And third, he must deliver a forcible blow with the crown of his helmet to any part of his opponent’s body. The crown is the very top of the helmet. This rule was designed not only to protect the player receiving the blow, but also the player delivering it. Violations of this rule will result in 15-yard penalties for unnecessary roughness, and potential discipline. If the contact occurs in the tackle box, or if all three components are not present, there is no foul.”

Bush clearly reaches that standard for an illegal hit IMHO. You see something different obviously, but I see helmet to helmet contact prior to Bush hitting him with the shoulder.

Am I the only person on this forum that saw the Saints defender lead with his shoulder pad?

Yes. Because he clearly made helmet to helmet contact with the side of Amendola's helmet. Replay showed that last night..

My response is just more direct than your passive aggressive insults so take the song and dance elsewhere I'm over it, I tried the high road attempt with you once and but you keep taking the sneaky shots and then want to play the dumb card, I was born at night it wasn't last night though.

I think Amendola may have beenknocked out when his head hit the ground.

Yet another fail by Ivan – let me ask you a question do you ever post actualities or do you just think by typing words like stupid, idiotic or some other demeaning word that your actually sound like you know what you’re talking about, because sincerely buddy you just sound like a 5th grader who’s mom told him his friend was a bad influence, you ignore everything and anything that is actually in play and just rattle off insults like in some ill faded attempt to sound superior in here, it is so overplayed you should hit up the library for some books on football because you’ve been taking the fake it till you make it approach to being a poster in here since July 2011 and trust me everyone has figured it out by now. Time for a change buddy!!

May I recommend that change not include using insulting words in conjunction with my name or my posts? Grow up little boy!

You are the last person who should be telling anyone to grow up..

Four

I'm still waiting for the link I asked you for?

If you are going post bizarre opinions and fight like its life or death arguing them, you need to have a thicker skin.
I'll say it again, your comment had nothing to do with fact, I pointed that out, you cried. Who is wrong here?

I'm confused so you are telling me Amendola has played well and silenced the critics through 6 games?

Well currently he projects the following:

8 games played (all at less than 100% of course)
42 receptions
424 receiving yards
0 touchdowns,

Hmmm you think that we should spend $5 mil on this again next year? You’re not in the finance industry right?

Gotta love people who use the "Average Salary" of the contract as if it's what he's actually getting paid.

Do yourself a favor and actually read this page. There are facts. Not skewed meanderings of someone like yourself:

Miguel's UNOFFICIAL 2013 Patriots Salary Cap Footnotes and Documentation Page - Danny Amendola

Amendola's salary next year is $3million with potential bonuses of $343K. Not $5million per your blatherings.

I'm confused so you are telling me Amendola has played well and silenced the critics through 6 games?

I won't speak for Andy but I'd say the jury's out because there's not enough evidence to form a reasonable opinion.

Someone already posted this 2008 clip of Welker facing the other direction and getting while trying to make the catch.

And Ammendola was already in the grasp of a defender when he got hit so what's the difference. This is a really dumb thread and argument and I actually do believe Ammendola is injury prone. Somet things are just unavoidable.

I think Amendola may have beenknocked out when his head hit the ground.

Looks like his body goes limp before he hit the ground and his entire body hits the ground. There looks to be clear helmet to helmet contact before any other part of Bush's body hits. Whether if that was his intent or not. It looks like Amendola's head rocks back after contact.

Just when I get out, they suck me back in.

I am telling you that blaming him for getting a concussion from an illegal hit is ludicrous.
I am further telling you that making comments insulting people because they make comments insulting your opinion is bad form.

I'm not blaming him the concussion is a non factor its 1 quarter of football in 6 games, my belief is based around everything else.

Bush clearly reaches that standard for an illegal hit.

clearly? lol

Show me where, Bush 1) lowers his head and 2) makes contact with the crown of his helmet. If there helmets did make contact it was with the side of Bush's facemask/helmet. Clearly a legal hit.
