Rapoport: Danny Amendola could miss 2-6 weeks

Re: Ian Rapoport: Amendola could miss 2-6 weeks.

They tried to pay Welker, he ended up taking a worse deal than what we offered because he thought he was worth more. It was too late when his ego deflated.

I'm not sure if your name is a joke and every post you make attempts to live up to it or do you really have that miserable of an outlook on life?

Miserable outlook? Should things be positive?

Everyone knew Danny Amendola was made of glass. It took one half of football for him to re-injure himself and put him out for possibly 6 weeks.

It's almost comical how predictable this was.

Honestly, this sounds like pure speculation from rappoport...way to throw a number out there where you cant be wrong.

so, basically he could be back against Tampa...or back any week after that?

Guys it's "could". That has a definition of something "could" happen or nothing will. It's just a view grabber.

Amendola could miss 2-6 weeks.

Vereen will miss at least 8 weeks

See the difference there?

We already knew he was missing 2+ weeks and we have already moaned about it. So basically this is just another chance to moan for those who forgot to the last time they brought up the injury.

Amendola couldn't even make it out of September without a serious injury.

We're doomed! :bricks:

The time to sign him was before he was franchised. A three year deal at the time would have been mutually beneficial. It's unfortunate that they didn't sign arguably the most consistent WR in the league then. Too much bad blood developed over his franchised year.

Now we are stuck is an oft-injured replacement that will never reach Welker's production level

2-6 weeks is a purely speculative number. That's the high and low end for how long it typically takes groin injuries to heal. Considering that Amendola was able to go back in and play at a high level on his, I'd guess that his injury is on the lower end in terms of severity, so hopefully he'll just miss tonight and the Bucs.

They made a nice offer, however he rejected it.. I believe 3 years @24 million, he thought he was worth more... he was not.

His agent overestimated his value..

Hopefully he's back for the Falcons. We're going to need all the firepower we can muster.

Neither you nor I know what the details of the negotiations. They were apparently close, but who knows. Regardless, sometimes you just have to get it done. Would have been a much better investment than say throwing darts at players like ocho cinco or haynesworth. Sometimes this team out-thinks themselves. This is likely one of those times.

Unless of course Amendola becomes Welker 2.0. Given his history, I dont see that happening.

Re: Ian Rapoport: Amendola could miss 2-6 weeks.

We should of kept Welker, we all know it. Toughest player in the league, plays every game, catches 100 passes.

Anyway, I hope Danny recovers quickly because we need him!:)

What else is new ? Amendola missed 20 of the last 32 games prior to today, why is this a shock that he's going to miss time ?

LOL! I'm betting he'll be out 4, return, promptly re-injure himself in some freakish way, be out 4 more. Boy's fragile as eggshells.

Julian will be getting a Get Paid tattoo very soon.

DA is actually very tough but for whatever reason he misses a lot of games due to injury. Its not DA's fault any more than it was Ras I Dowling's fault that he had an injury bug. Having said that its difficult to understand when the Pats front office seemingly dismiss an established pattern of injuries when it comes to drafting or signing someone.
