If you thought the Tavon Wilson pick was bad, meet Duron Harmon. He was rated 37th best safety by GBN Draft Report and is a special teams player.

The reason Rutgers is obvious, Belichick's went to school there and has been the long snapper and is now on the staff.

Draftnicks won't like it, but the upside is, he knows these players up and down compared to some guy in the third they talked to for an hour once.

Pick 1. Pats get a passrusher.
Pick 2. Pats get a big physical WR.
Pick 3. Pats get a CB.
Pick 4. Pats get a S.

Top needs going into this draft? Receiver, passrusher, secondary.
Gee looks like they were all addressed. Just some people think they know better than BB who to fill those positions. Make sure to put your binkies into those emails directed to BB that will NEVER EVER be read. NOR SHOULD THEY!

Good news, I found a site that rated him, #431 overall, 16th best SS.

He did have 1 interception last year.

I put his over under at 3 career interceptions.

I've just seen that interception. Cobi Hamilton falls to the floor, the pass hits him on the back and bounces up into Harmon's hands.

Ryan was projected as a second rounder possibly a first rounder by some. I don't see how he was a bad pick. Harmon is a head scratcher though.

No problem with Ryan though.

Mayock was saying he's got him rated as a 4th round selection.

Snappy name. I hope he works out.

Harmon has some decent range but muffs a little on some plays. I do like his size/athleticism combo. Not sure he offers that much over Tavon Wilson tohugh. He's not as bad as being made out, I just don't like him in the 3rd.

Harmon runs a 4.65 40 at 198 pounds.
Collins is a 4.59 at 250 pounds.

where did you get those from? This is a nj report of his proday.

Harmon, a 6-2, 196-pound safety, was timed in 4.45 and 4.58 for his two tries in the 40.

Branch was a WTF pick. Wasn't a who is this guy type of pick, but why are you selecting a guy who will still be available in the fifth round in the second round type of pick.

Vollmer was also a WTF pick. Again, more like Branch than Harmon or Wilson last year.

BB drafted Harmon over them, he doesn't want them.

Seriously, why not draft Lattimore and put him on IR immediately, no one can argue that's worse than drafting Harmon.

I just went back and looked, the only guy in the last 5 years or so that worked out was Vollmer. I would much rather go with the Steelers/Ravens approach and just take the best guys available instead of getting cute. I don't mind the trade downs but you still need to take the best players.
