Will have to limit him in order to take home the W and i think with this run D they can do it. Foster is a better back and we held him in check except for the passing out of the backfield which rice can do as well. But he is the key guy to stop on that team. Have to cover him out of the backfield but putting a LB on him like they did with foster will result in a few big screens or passes.

I think that is exactly what they will try to do. That has been their game plan every time they play Baltimore. It worked last year in the AFCCG 67 yards on 21 carries and one reception for 11 yards.

Just as important, IMO, stopping Pierce (if healthy). He is their home run hitter. But yes, slow down the run and keep Rice out of the passing game and force Flacco to win the game. Gregory and McCourtey will be disciplined and some of those prayers he throws, will end up in the Pats hands. He will complete a couple, it seems inevetible, and he may get a PI, but it won't be enough to win - unless the running game is productive and Rice is active in the passing game.

Pierce hurt his knee on Saturday and currently his status for Sunday is unknown. But it is worth watching throughout the week.

Ray Rice is only one of two players that the Patriots have allowed to rush for more than 100 yards in a playoff game during the BB Era.

Rice has had good games against the Pats with every game he as played against this team,he has had no worse than 67 yards, which was his all time low and that happened last year.

Slow Ray Rice, put a safety over the top to keep Torry Smith honest and you control their offense, easier said than done of course.

Rice might be playing for us except for the Spygate ruling. He was finally picked late in the second just before we chose Wheatley.
